We are a small local company with a big heart for our customers .
My name is Martin and like most old school decorators I started out a few years after leaving school with an aprentership with a refurbishment company based in Wansted .
After some years perfecting my trade I then went out on my own and have spent the last 20 years building my client base and improving my skills also becoming a professional sealant and mastic aplicator .

We moved home in September 2023 and it was only by chance that we bumped into him as our buyers got him round for a quote and we are so glad we did!
Our new house was a new chapter for us and our children and we were keen to decorate it and make it into our home.
From the day Martin came to give us a quote to the day Martin finished the painting, he was always willing to advise and get the job done to a high standard! We were so pleased with the results and really grateful for Martin’s advise throughout the process…. He is a perfectionist and unlike other tradesmen I’ve met he would always try to rectify a situation if we were not happy!! Martin spent so much time here that he became an honorary member of the family!!
Martin is reliable, down to earth and amazing at what he does - when it comes to decorating Martin is definitely your man and we wouldn’t think twice about recommending him.

I met Martin whilst having other work done at my house. He was great to talk and was an easy process to get him to do my decorating of the new extension. Painting & Decoration - Interior
Wholeheartedly recommend, was my first time using Bark and Martin got in touch and exceeded our expectations. He did a fantastic job on our 2 floors hallway, dismantled with a lot of care the rail from the stairs and repaired every bit that was damaged on the wall.
Very speedy & honestly such a friendly character. We saved his number for future projects and recommend to others too.

What do you love most about your job?
I love the transformation on all of my jobs and the happiness in my customers once their project is complete .its always good to build good relationships with customers as would like to think you may spring to mind in the future to tackle another project for them .
What inspired you to start your own business?
I simply felt it was the right time to stand on my own two feet and branch out on my own to build my future .
Why should our clients choose you?
Im honest .fairly priced ,puntual and have always put 100% into any of my projects .your only as ever good as your last job .its about building a good client base that will use you repetedly building good trust and expanding your network . I love what i do .

Working alongside my usuall team on larger projects I will always offer their services to my clients .my plasterers are highly professional in all interia and external works and always make my job a lot easier with a great finish to work on .

I have worked along side my Electrician for many years and will always advertise his services if they are needed on any of my jobs .
Whether it be a simple scocket moved .a new light fitting to be installed or a full re wire or electrcal test service .we can cover all .
