We used Cousins catering as our wedding caterer this year, March 2024, we had them with us all day serving canapés on the drinks reception, then the wedding breakfast buffet board style, then on the evening they served guests from their food van. They were absolutely unbelievable, 5 star service all day. Daryl, Shelley and the team honestly did go above and beyond, even outside of the food service they were helping show our English guests how to pull a Guinness on the self serve Guinness pump and helping clear up glasses and other bits to keep the tables tidy. Everyone was asking were they family friends because they were just so lovely and professional. The food was exceptional and I couldn’t recommend them more, I have had so many compliments from guests, stating it was not only the best wedding food they’ve ever got but one of the best meals they ever had. You know it’s good as well when people are uploading pictures to their fb and ig of the buffet boards and their plates stacked with the food. As this is one of the biggest expenses on your wedding day it’s really nice for it to not only feel worth it but really exceed your expectations. Cousins were extremely easy to deal with during the planning process. This meant a lot to us as we were planning this wedding ourselves and hosting it at a family property so we were really in the weeds when it came to details and with cousins I just felt instantly that I could trust their expertise and have nothing to worry about. Any couples going through wedding planning will know that your experience isn’t just what you get on the day but also the pre correspondence is massive in dictating your experience with a company, and with these guys it just all clicked and felt really easy. Had the “date night” from smoke bbq on Saturday. Stars of the show were the ribs, Mac balls and corn on the cob. Sauce and spice on the ribs had amazing flavour,Mac balls were so crispy and loved the hot sauce that came with it, also the coleslaw was some of the nicest I had had in ages. I know some of the reviews mentioned the food not being hot enough but ours was grand. Portion sizes is very good, took us a second sitting to finish it all. Got a takeaway from smokebbq last night and it was the worst I’ve had in a long time. This was chosen for a family gathering and we wanted the party box, we were told this wasn’t on the till yet so they couldn’t do it, needless to say they could of honoured the deal and sorted things on their end afterwards to provide a better customer experience. Shortly after this they added a post to their instagram to inform others. Secondly the fryers were broken, we sympathise this wasn’t their fault but it now meant no chips and no chicken burgers… the rest of the food was ready 45 minutes late with no apology or sense of urgency. When we got the food home it was cold and we even had a piece of plastic in one of the burgers. We were all left disappointed, especially because our bill was over 70£. We totally understand this is a new business and we were excited to try it and support local, however they have some way to go before making this a success… More...

Went to we are hydro on Halloween this company had a van located there serving food and it’s been the worst food that I’ve ever got. Firstly the burger came with no onions not even a alternative, no mushroom no tomatoes no ketchup the cheese wasn’t melted. The burger was thrown into a bag what seemed like a catapult not even a chip a chip to go with it. The sausage and chips wasn’t even a full sausage it had been cut in half and the chips wasn’t even offered with salt ketchup or vinegar on anything. The chips was stale & not to mention paying over £20 for two burgers with no chips and a child’s sausage Would highly recommend train your the staff to take orders efficiently and properly because as she was a taking ours she stopped and turned to another customer meaning our order wasn’t fulfilled & got our order wrong! We got married in July this year and chose Cousins Catering to feed our 40 guests. The Deluxe BBQ experience was just what we wanted and certainly didn't disappoint on the day. Daryl and his team arrived and set up on the day seamlessly. When we arrived the smells were amazing!!! Every single one of our guests has since said that the food was second to none! Used these guys for my daughters 18th birthday party, from the 1st message they were very friendly and very informative! They laid on a buffet for 40 ppl and honestly there was enough food to feed 100 ppl!!! Arrived promptly , set it all up and left us to it, came bk the nx day and picked everything up!
