Absolutely amazing service, my dog loves Jess, after having Jess train her for a month she’s like a completely different dog, no longer pulling my arms out on walks or ignoring me. She’s gone from trying to play with every dog she sees to happily walking past them and even recalling away from playing.

Reggie, our German Shepherd has just finished his two week Board and Train (B&T) with Jess and to say we are amazed with the results is an understatement.

Reggie came to Jess with some pretty niche household item related reactivity issues (spray bottles, brushing, wiping surfaces, loading washing machine, hoover etc.) amongst more common things such as pulling, jumping and recall (to name a few). One of the reasons we found this challenging is because Reggie has never been massively food driven, making it more difficult to positively reinforce behaviours. Jess did not see this as a challenge as she instead took advantage of Reggie’s high play drive and used this to train him - this is extremely beneficial particularly because we don’t need to carry food around and try and get him to want it as a reward (95% of the time he doesn’t).

For the first time since Reggie was a baby (and way more manageable as a baby) we have successfully walked him through a busy town centre, then a garden centre and then an evening walk (literally on his first day back with us!!). Walking him has previously brought me to tears due to his pulling and now I am able to loose lead walk him on my own which not only improves my quality of life but his too as I feel happy taking him to new places which therefore widens his experiences and horizons.

Jess took him to a number of locations to socialise him correctly with other dogs (including neutrality and pack walks). Dogs and people are always things that have excited and over stimulated him but Reggie is a lot more neutral now. Reggie’s recall is absolutely terrific in various environments. We are yet to brave him being off lead beyond the house and garden but this is something Jess achieved with him which is something we genuinely didn’t expect at all.

His place and down stay commands are absolutely solid now meaning whilst we do things that would have previously irritated him, he now just sits in his place and tolerates it without protesting which has previously been unbearable. We now have the knowledge/tools to deal with these issues should they arise again. His down stay is so good that you could walk away and he won’t try to follow until he is released from it.

Jess was absolutely brilliant and thoughtful with updating us on Reggie’s progress with a combination of voice notes, videos and pictures. She also did an excellent theory and practical handover which really put us in a good place to take him home.

Reggie’s two week board and train has put the foundations for a perfect dog and it’s up to us to really hone it in to achieve this in the long term. Jess has continued to support us over the phone and it’s really reassuring and comforting knowing that whilst the b&t may be over, the guidance isn’t.

Thank you so much Jess, Reggie absolutely loved you and staying with you, your partner and dogs. Having had poor trainers in the past, we almost had trust issues when it came to trainers but you never gave us any reason to question you or your methods. We completely trusted your judgement and will continue to do so. You are kind with Reggie but also firm and fair which is exactly what he needs. You have absolutely restored our faith in training and we cannot wait to show you how he gets on!!!!

We opted for the board and train option having an overly enthusiastic labrador puppy. Whilst friendly, he was in need of basic obedience training. We had followed a click to heel program at home but his recall amongst other behaviours was poor. We really wanted him to be able to be off the lead. Jess was brilliant. We trust her completely with our dog who adores her but also respects her commands. She improved his recall to the point where we are walking him off the lead. Jess has been a complete life changer for us with our Viszla pup. In training she explains everything to make sure we completely understand what we’re doing, demonstrates when we need to everything is really clear and gives huge insight into the behavior of our pup which has made our relationship so incredibly strong! She gives us the tools to continue training in our own time, and I never feel like any question is too stupid to ask!! Beyond that, her love of dogs is so amazingly obvious, and it means she really cares how we’re doing and adores our pup. I cannot recommend Jess enough, our boxer Freddie has been with her for just over a week for a board and train. The difference in his behaviour is beyond incredible. He is a different dog. He’s gone from refusing home cooked meals, to eating kibble as a reward. Walking alongside other dogs with no reactive behaviour or aggression. Remaining silent through the night in his crate, and being able to spend time alone in the day without a fuss. He’s now able to be off lead, has a recall, and can hold a down stay around other dogs. His impulse control has also improved hugely. I cannot quite believe the difference in a week, and he still has a week to go. Jess is a magician, and clearly has a way with dogs like no other. I recently had the pleasure of working to train my Doberman with Jess. It was fantastic! Within the hour she had given me the tools to begin to teach my dog how to walk on a slip lead without pulling. I had almost instantaneous results! I had seen a couple of trainers before hiring Jess and I can easily say none were as knowledgeable and informative as Jess was. I'm no dog trainer but she gave me exactly what I needed to begin training. Once she left, I took my dog out for a walk sticking to Jess' advice and I was able to walk without barely any pulls on the lead, which is night and day prior to working with Jess. Before my doberman would pull like a freight train and she is strong! In the following week's I have continued to proceed with Jess' training and it is now a pleasure to walk her on lead as opposed to it being more of a chore. Having heard great things and our neighbours recommending Jess’ great training, we reached out to get some 1-2-1 sessions booked in for our puppy. The great things we heard were true, our Dalmatian puppy has loved each session and she is looking forward to her first pack walk this week. We appreciate that we can ask Jess for advice when it comes to our puppy (and as first time dog owners this is very helpful!). From the beginning I could tell I was with the right trainer, the knowledge and understanding is next to none. Ghost is a big pup and can be quite a handful due to his size but with help from Jess he’s learnt some amazing manners, walking skills, basic commands, social skills and so on, which has helped give him the best start in life and prepared him for a higher level of learning once he’s matured enough. Thank goodness for Jess! We were totally new puppy parents and she taught us everything we needed to know to get our Labrador off to a good start. Jess suggested that we start early so at 10 weeks she started teaching us how to teach our puppy. Never too soon to begin she said! Jess guided us through a training process and gave us so many tips and tricks that have helped our puppy to develop and progress quickly with good behaviour. Our first new puppy was 4 months when we started our sessions, we were given loads of support over text when we had questions both for training tips and for helping settle her more in to our home and with our other pets. She has come on so well, and we have been taught how to train her more effectively. Even in just five sessions we have seen a huge difference and learnt how to focus all her energy. A really open and non judgemental approach, I felt able to be open about how far along we were getting and our plans for our little Sprocker. Booking the sessions was really flexible both for places to meet and times.
I would certainly book more sessions if we wanted an extra bit of boot camp later on! More...

I couldn’t recommend Jess enough! So personal and caring in every aspect of my dog and me. She was so understanding at my consultation and gave me a full report of my dogs behaviour and tips on how to help me. She said that I wouldn’t need extra training just to put in to practise the tips she had told me. She also said if I had any problem to just call her free of charge. I contacted Jess as my 8 month old puppy was behaving in such a way that my walks were becoming difficult and unpleasant. After a very comprehensive consultation via Zoom (coronavirus dictating) Jess was able to see exactly what was required and put together a 7 point programme to solve the issues . My exhuberant 8 month Labradoodle was running after anything or anybody that moved from jogger to cyclist with prams in between and uncontrollably jumping up. After the online session and just one 1.2.1 training session the difference is quite incredible. Although I have lot of work still to do, Pagley is now completely attentive to me and is so much more obedient. I would highly recommend Jesse. Jess is amazing, our Pharaoh Hound (sighthound) who is usually very people shy absolutely fell in love with her and she is great with him, he's so well behaved now ❤️ can't wait for more from Jess!!

Professional, good advice, follow up, thorough.

I worked closely with jess and my doberman x malinois and she honestly worked wonders. I was a bit lost with training as she is my first dog and Jess gave me all the tools I need to make her alot calmer and an absolutely joy to be around. Jess was beyond helpful and very patient with me, my dog got it alot quicker than I did.

Jess did a brilliant job with training General. I was a little apprehensive before deciding to send him away as I have a husky and wasn’t sure if he’d be a bit too much of a handful but Jess has experience with bigger dogs and handled him perfectly. Videos and photos were sent every day so I could see how he was getting on and it helped a lot when I brought him home!
