I will ask them about their business for example what they do and what products or services do they offer, and I would ask for a brief description of the project they have in mind.
Which of my services are they interested in? What kind of budget do they have? What kind of timeline are they thinking of? I would ask if they have a current site and any social media - as this helps me to understand what they are looking for.

I am a Web Designer and Photographer. I help people to figure out how best to display their work or business visually, by designing ideas to exhibit their value.

Here's my process:

Interpretation + Ideation.
The next phase is to draw up some plans for content to include in your site, I will produce some basic wireframes to mock up a plan. This is where we plan the strategic side of your website which we can tweak throughout the design process. I encourage feedback throughout the process and when we have landed on a style/plan that you like I will start to build the site.

Prototyping.
As I design the site we will collaborate about your ideas and have the chance to chat to me about any ideas you have. I will plan out the whole site and ask you what you would like to change before the last stage.

Testing + Launch.
The site will be built out and set up for SEO. It will be optimised for mobiles and checked to make sure it is working smoothly with no problems. I will go through final revisions with you and check it is set up as per your requests before we launch it. To enable you to easily navigate around your sew site, I will provide you with custom video tutorials and support for a certain amount of time (from 2 weeks to 2 months after launch, depending on your budget)

I will need copy, images and general content. Basically the branding etc needs to be done before the site can be built. I am happy to provide 'filler' copy (where there is a space for copy that has not been finalised) and also search for stock images for you if you require. It's best to have a chat about this before we work out a timeline to check that I know exactly what you need and make sure we have the assets needed to build your site.

I love creating beautiful clean designs that illustrate a person's brand perfectly and I really enjoy the customisations to make it unique. I enjoy collaborating with like minded creative people and helping clients to promote their businesses with a beautiful easy to use website.

When building my first portfolio site (a good decade ago now), the realisation that design and photography go hand in hand became hugely apparent. Design is something I have always been interested in and it really developed when I started building sites. I’ve been intrigued by it ever since.

My Fine Art training helps me design sites that stand out. The quality of the visual assets is crucial to successful web design; being a photographer means I am able to ensure my client’s products and business are portrayed with the maximum impact. A clean aesthetic sums my work up: functional clarity in line with branding and encompassing client’s interests.
