It was worth the money, time and effort. All thanks to God for using Cohort Tuition as a vehicle to drive our daughter to this success in her 11+ exam. She passed the exam and already she looks set to be offered a place in the Grammar School of her choice. The curricular offered by Cohort and their dedicated staff/ instructors made all the difference. They assured us from Day 1 that our daughter would pass if both us the parent and herself would build on whatever the teachers taught her. The teachers are sound and professional. We enrolled our daughter a year ago and they helped her till she wrote her exam. The August session was an icing on the cake as the Tuition dissected questions from past exams with her and helped put finishing touches on their preparations. The mock exam was also helpful. I have been sending my both my sons to Cohort for the last 4 years. They have both come on leaps & bounds, especially my older son who was struggling to keep up in school with his peers. Do not send your child here for tutition. I sent my daughter here for 3 weeks and paid £30 cash every week. I found her a suitable school and told them the next week would be her last to attend (like they said one weeks notice ) and when I sent her to her last lesson- they said I owed them £90! I was gob smacked, as the woman who had said it had, had the money off me for weeks before. Her colleague said that she'd received cash off me last week, but she still lied and said that I hadn’t given HER any such money. The whole business is a SCAM! I deal with cash in my work everyday and never exchanged receipts with customers. This has taught me a lesson to always get a receipt when handing over money. Feeling disappointed that my son was not reaching his full potential at school and based on a friend’s recommendation, I decided to send my 7 year old for maths and English 1:1 tuition at cohort tuition. The enrolment process was easy and the centre was very accommodating. He was given two tutors and both were fantastic. I love that there is a weekly feedback report on his progress and the tutors always provide verbal feedback after each lesson. They were both quick to identify where further support was required and addressed gaps in my son’s knowledge. He was given additional work to support his learning at home. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As we have progressed from the pandemic, we have maintained a few measures that are not hindering the running of our face-to-face tuition, whilst keeping our students, parents, and staff safe from Covid-19. These measures were put in place after a detailed risk assessment was conducted by our management team and verified by external health and safety organisations. Our Covoyd measures only apply to our centre-based in-person tutoring:
- Students are reminded to regularly wash/sanitise their hands and maintain social distancing (hand sanitisers are in every room)
- All rooms have a medical-grade air filtration system installed that removes bacteria and virus particles from the air ensuring there is minimal airborne spread
- No parents are allowed into the centre, parents wait outside and students are called down via walkie-talkie and dismissed one at a time to minimise crowding
