Clifton Sausage, The

first time visit after following a friend's recommendation. arrived early for my booking, but table was available. Drink order taken within a few minutes and main course ordered a few minutes after. restaurant seemed busy with table servers diligently seating customers and explaining specials. I'd already viewed the menu on the website before arrival, but was nice to be informed of the daily specials. it's about 5 minutes walk from the Clifton suspension bridge and 20 minutes from Clifton Down railway station. Food arrived at my table, about 15 minutes after order was taken and was piping hot with a nice plentiful portion of mash and three thick tasty sausages swimming in onion gravy. I opted for the Pork Leek and Stilton sausages but others sound wonderful so need to come back. also had a dessert of sticky toffee pudding to finish it off. a large bottle of cold water is also available free, but just nice to have a drink of coca cola to go with it.
