A much loved 15 year old Balzac Armchair and ottoman was badly in need of reupholstery, (see pic of before). I contacted 4 local companies and liked the response, feel, timescale and price from Mehmet at Classic Upholstery. They collected the chair and I visited the shop to select the leather. Mehmet quoted two weeks to do the job, but in the end it was just over one week. As you can see the Balzac and Ottoman look brand new. Its is a superb job and I could not be happier. Absolutely delighted with the service and the craftsmanship. I asked Mr Ozer to recover three sofas for me. Two were very old and not that special in the first place and the third was an Ikea sofa bed. He did the most amazing job of making my very ordinary furniture look better than new. If you have furniture that works in your house, fits in your rooms but is getting old and tatty, this is the solution. He also made some amazing cushions for me. Just got back an armchair that was re-upholstered by them- it is absolutely stunning and to the highest quality. The piping was done in a different colour, so not a straightforward job in principle, but they did an outstanding job. On top of that we got the furniture delivered and picked up free of charge.

I can’t rate the team at Classic Upholstery highly enough!

We recently moved and our 8’ leather sofa became stuck on the stairs. Classic Upholstery came to the rescue and within 30 mins of me calling, the owner came to my flat, looked carefully at the sofa and the damage that had been done to it by the removal guys and his team started work later the same day.

Not only did they manage to dismantle the sofa while stuck on an awkward staircase, they then with great care and skill got the giant sofa into the flat and put it back together. They did an amazing job and are a lovely team. 10/10 and I recommend them to everyone. Thanks so much! More...

I had a modern 4 seater couch which I couldn't get out of our lounge because of the access. When we bought it it had to come through the lounge window via the neighbours garden. We wanted to get it re-upholstered and Classic Upholstery came and dismantled it, took it away and recovered it, brought it back and assembled it again. We had a 3 seater done at the same time. This took a week from the fabric arriving to completion. The couches look brand new and we are thrilled with the finished product and the service. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. I'm pleased to recommend Classic Upholstery unreservedly. Mehmet undertook to reupholster a sofa for me at relatively short notice within a fixed period of time, and collected and delivered exactly as promised (even though I held things up by being a little slow in chosing the fabric I wanted). His quote for the work was £50 more than a rival firm in Hackney, but they proved to be unreliable, and suggested that I needed significantly more fabric than Mehmet estimated, so I ended up paying quite a lot less. Mehmet always responded promptly and helpfully to email queries, I was sent photos to show the work in progress, and the finished job has been done beautifully, with great care and expertise. I cannot stop praising Classic Upholstery, they dealt with me with wonderfully from start to finish, they were professional, polite and tried to accommodate and anticipate my needs and when necessary they gave me valuable advice. Everything about Mehmet's service is absolutely the best. He re-upholstered 2 sofas and 7 chairs for me to meet a really tight deadline, and his work was of the highest quality and very good value for money. He produced an estimate as soon as he'd seen my furniture, ferried it all backwards and forwards and kept me constantly updated with photos. Great service. They picked up the (rather large) Chesterfield sofa and managed to get it down the stairs of our first floor flat, then kept us updated throughout, emailing photos to show progress.
