It's important to note that whilst everyone in the reviews section is referring to John as the masseur, there's a multitude of John's at this practice, all very nice people indeed. I had my massage with Jonathan after a 1 hour gym session which relaxed every single muscle and tissue I had. Jonathan - thank you and hope to see you again! As a women, you sometimes worry about putting yourself in 'vulnerable' situations but please don't be put off by the fact that you will need to go to John's home. I admit I was concerned when making the booking but I needn't have worried. John took fantastic care of me, I trusted him completely and he is just a fabulous therapist. I have had quite a lot of massages in my life and John was up there at the top, so much so that I booked another nine sessions immediately. I really can't recommend him highly enough. More...

I was suffering from sciatica. With 1 treatment John effectively got rid of it. I've also been back to John a couple of times with hand / forearm issues as I'm a musician, his treatment has also helped with this.

I had a massage with John and I couldn't rate it highly enough!! I have bad neck and shoulder issues and his technique is stellar. Often times you hear that a masseuse has lots of training and great technique, but it doesn't seem the case when you are laying on the table experiencing it as the massage seems formulaic and the masseuse perhaps a bit lazy. This is NOT the case with John. John is clearly highly trained and takes incredible pride in his work. I had a massage few weeks ago with John and the whole experience was great. I went to his house which is near Southbank. It is a private house but don´t hesitate at all to go in, I felt totally safe and John was very proffesional all the time. I had a 60min Deep tissue massage and my back felt much better after that. What an experience. I was immediately made to feel welcome and relaxed on arriving at John's serene studio and the massage certainly delivered. Regular massage is one of the best personal investments you can make, and I can't recommend City Massage enough. John is a wonderful masseur with magic hands who has helped me enormously over the years. He is able to bring a variety of styles of therapy to the table and is happy to tailor each massage to suit how I feel. Thanks to City Massage I was also able to find Jay who provides a wonderfully personalised yoga instruction. I am a marathon and ultra-distance runner. About 4 years ago now, I had to change masseur because my regular masseur moved on. Having tried 3 or 4 "chain" studios / salons I arrived at John Kim-Yorke's studio open, hopeful and yet, to an extent, sceptical. John made every effort to get to understand me, my goals and expectations in a relaxed, friendly and professional environment - no stuffy "let's just do the routine and make our money" studio. Made to feel genuinely valued. To the point that I am still with John 4 years later, over time, having continually evaluated and tailored his approach to continue to meet my goals and needs. John has an excellent understanding of a variety of massage approaches, No Hands, Thai, etc and applies them excellently to delivery a great, personally tailored approach.
