City Dental Practice

Wednesday night I went to bed with toothache and woke up in the middle of the night with a swollen face. My first thought was a stroke but when I realised it wasn't I knew what it was. I was told by NHS direct to go to the dental hospital but I couldn't get there, I was in too much pain and because I couldn't open my mouth I couldn't take my medication or eat or painkillers. So yesterday feeling like my face was gonna drop off I walked to A&E and of course they turned me to go the dental hospital or ring 111 so I did again! They told me to walk the dentist at the walk in centre. I did but the dentist had already gone so they told me to try the next dentist up the road. I did. The were so nice. The dentist was just about to leave. He didn't even hesitate, he said it's an abscess and it's badly infected. It's an emergency so he took the tooth out straight out. Because I hadn't had any pain relief it was soooooooooo sore when he tried give me the injections I was crying and had a full on anxiety attack but thankfully the receptionist calmed me down. Great outstanding family dentist. The whole team is very welcoming. Waiting times for your appointment is very quick and thats a plus - when you have your kids. Dentist is excellent and very professional and of a course the dental nurse very caring and supportive while you are having any treatment. All the treatments my family has had, has always been of top standards so thats a bonus. The receptionist is who you see first and she is ever so welcoming and polite with a smile. I had a front tooth which was fracturing giving me a dull throbbing pain and anxiety. I was apprehensive in going to the dentist believing that I would lose the tooth. However after one visit to the City Dental Practice my mind was put at rest as a thorough examination and consultation was given to me. I was extremely happy to find out that I would not lose the tooth and the dentist could rebuild my damaged tooth. The pin point precision work the dentist professionally carried out with out pain or discomfort. The staff conduct their duties expertly and are so welcoming that you soon forget that you have arrived for treatment.
