This company has saved my life on 2 tours! I have a very specific set up- I run my keys through distortion pedals- and I require a good, high watt PA system as backline. At home in the US, I've got my own reliable gear that I don't generally need for venues with good sound, but when I travel to the UK/Europe, I'm unsure of what venues I'm dealing with and prefer to have as similar a setup as I do at home to avoid any reliance on a venue's sub/PA system. A few tours ago, I was trying to get by with borrowing a friend's bass amp but it was less than ideal. To fly all the way over to the UK for a bad sound was not what I wanted, so City and Moon immediately came to the rescue. I was testing out the gear in their practice room and we worked out a solution on the spot. They helped me out with a mixer, a PA system and all necessary cables. I remember plugging in and hearing my sound the way it's supposed to be and feeling so grateful that they could help me out on the fly. Ever since that tour, I've been using them every time I'm on tour in the UK. Wonderful people, easy to communicate with, great prices and incredible gear. Don't settle for less; if music is your love, you should shine the way you want to! City and Moon allows you to do that without ripping you off. I recently played 2000 Trees festival and seeing all of their gear as backline for the main stages made me so proud and happy for them. Great folks providing great gear! City and Moon are our one-stop-shop for all things backline. We are hiring from them most weeks and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. We are quite likely the thorn in their side with our often last minute requests for obscure pieces of kit, but even if they don’t stock what you need (which is unlikely - they stock a lot of kit), they will offer honest advice on substitutions or bend over backwards to source it for you.
