I am a Social Media Strategist with a background in PR, Admin and Photography. I have over 30 years combined experience working in administration and PR with local government, BBC Television, BBC Online, BBC News and BBC World Service. I also worked as a Media and Marketing Officer with with a think tank called The Work Foundation and I spent 18 months with the Olympic Games Committee for London 2012 helping to interview, recruit and train volunteers.
More recently I supported, with PR, Social Media and Fundraising, a US charity providing holistic care for youth on the Caribbean island of Grenada, reachwithin.org.
As a Social Media Strategist I will help you to:
a) Identify the best platforms for your business and know when to get on board with each one. You don't have to be on all platforms immediately but expand when you have the right resources and support.
b) I will ensure that your social media is a strategic part of your integrated marketing mix and that it has a direct, positive impact on your business and revenue.
c) Whilst you may be familiar with most social media platforms - such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - there is also the nuance of branding, your business voice, ensuring a positive customer experience, crisis communications and other areas that must align with social media.
d) I will help you to decipher the analytics to help you to measure the progress of your social media platforms.
e) I will ensure that your social media is tied directly to your content strategy and your audience needs, showcases your service in the best possible light and brings you closer to your target market.
