What a fantastic experience dining out on Christmas day. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent, great portions, well presented and very tasty. The restaurant and table was very tastefully decorated. We were expecting the restaurant to be packed but we felt incredibly comfortable, we had plenty space and not once did we feel rushed. We were anxious about dining out for the first time, but we had such a good experience we will definitely be booking a table at the Chalkhill Blue next year. More...

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh with quality cuts of succulent meat. Tracy and Jake were very attentive and welcoming making our dining experience all the better. They are a credit to the team.

Completely ignores by waiting staff for over 20 minutes this Sunday. Formerly the chalkhill blue was one of my favourite places to eat, used to love the buttermilk chicken burger. My nan passed away this weekend, so thought I cheer myself up on Sunday with eating out, I was wrong. However this Sunday when myself and partner attended, we were both ignored for by the waiter for 20 minutes. The waiter spent most of the time behind the bar staring into space. I made several times to catch his eye but he seemed uninterested in serving us. Didn’t even get offered a drink, let alone asked what meal we wanted to order. When I left, the lady behind the bar, asked what the problem was. I explained, just got a half empty “sorry”, not an offer of a free round of drinks, and a lack of interest to save my trip. I was very disappointed and feel that I cannot return to what was once a good place to eat. More...

on the 4th June we had a group of 22 visit and we'll what can I say the food was amazing, waiting staff truly amazing thank you Tracy and Hannah and I didn't get the males name but all three of you went above and beyond and nothing was any trouble to you. doing food for 22 people and it all to come out at the same time and still be very hot was a great achievement and there was no complaints or issues. The chicken was still raw and even the frozen chips were not cooked and the coleslaw soggy. Very very disappointed and will definitely not go there again.

We went to Chalkhill Blue for a meal for our 10th wedding anniversary. The staff are always so friendly and accomodating, they even bought us out a couple of glasses of bubbly on the house, to celebrate. The food is spot on, very yummy. Great atmosphere, comfy and homely feel. My two boys love playing outside on the climbing frame. My favourite place to eat in Andover, highly recommend. More...

Would recommend as it is a nice pub. Location is good and food was nice. Only down side was the service was slow. There wasn’t many tables in the pub.
