Collaborative and creative, I love working with clients to create a cohesive design which suits their needs and reflects their personality. Whenever I can, I source products and finishes which are eco friendly and sustainable. Stylistically I sit on the side of contemporary/modern, and I love to pull in influences from art and travel.

Catherine is professional yet friendly and helpful. Willing to share ideas and flexible to work with. She is creative and able to think ahead, providing us with options and has been able to take away much of the stress developing our house.
Would highly recommend her!

I feel very lucky to have had the chance to work with Catherine White Interiors! Catherine has been an invaluable partner throughout my renovations and has been a huge help in creating a warm space with a consistent vibe throughout. Catherine has an impressive knowledge of the design world - when I took a picture of random tiles I'd seen in a cinema, she knew the brand immediately, for example, and she is able to recommend great low, mid and high-end stores that were just my style for different purchases. Catherine is very responsive on email, phone, SMS and WhatsApp and happy to communicate through whatever means you prefer, which was particularly helpful to me as I work unusual hours and can't be available on the phone much during the day. She is very organised and professional and did an amazing job of working with the contractors to keep things moving along. She has great contacts across the industry and was able to organise blinds, curtains, carpet, builders etc. Catherine really simplified a very confusing new world of home renovations for me and was happy for me to be involved as much or as little as I liked in each choice that we needed to make. I would never have made such quick progress on my new home without Catherine and highly recommend Catherine White Interiors for your home designs! More...

It was a pleasure working with Catherine- she really got to grips with the brief and completely understood my style. The products she sourced were fantastic quality within the budget- I’m really happy with the fantastic results.
What’s your interior design process?
It always starts with the client brief! I will have an initial download meeting with the client to understand things like timeline, budget, requirements (How robust is the design? What kind of longevity is needed? ) It's also great to learn more about the client's style what they love.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I have a contemporary/modern style personally, but can cater to most. I love colour and pattern, but used sparingly and sensitively. I love textures and natural materials, and I will try and specify eco friendly products wherever I can.
What do you love most about your job?
It's great when I have a client who really is excited about what I have presented. I know it is going to make a huge difference to their life and I love helping them create the perfect environment, whether it be at home, office or retail.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It had always been a dream of mine. After working in top design firms in London, New York and Bermuda, I felt it was time to lead my own design development journey.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have been working in interior design for 20 years, there is a level of experience and creativity I can bring to the table, as well as compassion and clarity of vision.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, I can do consultations over zoom and actually I have found it quite helpful having meetings remotely over the past few years, as we have been able to design in real time on CAD, and also look at products online together. I can also arrange for a surveyor to measure the property if a measured drawing is needed.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have been vaccinated and take Lateral Flow tests regularly. I wear a mask to site meetings/client meetings.
Decorating Design
Working with the client to choose furniture, fabrics and fittings for their home, to create a chic space.
Concept Design
Creating a concept in response from the brief from the client. This is key to develop the scheme for the interior space. This can be created as a stand alone piece of work for the client to then develop/source products on their own, or this can act as a starting point for a project. The design will develop from here, and this will be referred to for direction of the scheme.
Detail Design
To directly follow on from Concept Design, Detail Design specifies furniture, fittings, surface finishes, joinery details etc. This will allow the client to order the products or sign off for designer procurement. This will also aid in hiring a contractor if any building works need to take place.
Space Planning
Using existing drawings of the property, the layout of the spaces is examined, which can focus on existing furniture, the new scheme and also arrangement of walls/rooms. The brief from the client will inform the outcome of the layout. This also can encompass loft extensions and ground floor extensions.
Planning Applications
For small extensions and loft conversions, drawings can be produced for planning applications from survey drawings provided by a qualified surveyor or the client.
Visuals
Computer generated renders can be created in order to accurately represent the design concept of the property. Hand renders are also available as artistic impressions of the space.
Drafting
Drawing accurate plans and elevations for the intended design from a survey (completed by a qualified surveyor).
