I'd been in the corporate world for a long time and I realised that I wasn't enjoying it anymore. I made the decision to do something that I could take pleasure from and that made me feel fulfilled. I wanted to be less "up the ladder" and more directly involved with people.

I tailor therapy for each individual using the skills and experience I have gained throughout my training. I provide a high-quality therapy service because sometimes we get stuck and don’t know how to move forward or change our patterns of behaviour, so together we will take the steps to resolve any issues that you have using CBT and NLP techniques and many more.

To offer you the best possible service, I continue to train and study new skills and theories to ensure I meet the highest standards of therapy and to continue my professional development within the life coaching industry.

I hold an extended DBS and have completed extensive Safeguarding for young people and vulnerable adults.

It’s a fact that life has its ups and downs. The size of your struggles is nothing compared with your ability to solve them.

As a human, your experience of life is created from the inside. While there is nothing you can do to change the world around you, you most certainly have the capacity to change your subjective experience of it.

During our time together, you will get one-to-one support on addressing issues and/or thoughts that are keeping you stuck.

Expect to get shifts in your mind-set and see your future in a very different light. Confronting your less-than-helpful habits is always difficult but stretching the parameters of your comfort zone is where you’ll find real liberation.

The wonderful thing is – no matter how ‘deep-rooted’ or ‘real’ a problem looks, you’re never more than one thought away from being all right. You can travel your journey with my support to enable you to be the you that you’ve always wanted to be.

Referred to as part of the next generation of psychology, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (or NLP) is three incredibly important facets in creating our human experience: neurology, language and programming. NLP describes the relationship between the mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how they impact on our body and behaviour (programming).

Using NLP techniques changes your behaviour, by identifying and reprogramming your thoughts so that you can remove negative emotions and limiting beliefs, become more self-confident, and make better choices. Overall it enables you to be more in charge of yourself.

These techniques bring balance and control to your emotions and this enables you to focus on what you want to achieve in your life.

The good news is, all that we need to create change is already within us.

Guided Affective Imagery is a method of intensive psychotherapy. When used on a client in a light trance state can evoke intense images and feelings that are related to the client’s problems.

Feeling stuck in life can be a very hard place to be. Imagery work can be used part way through therapy and is powerful. It doesn’t alert the critical faculty, allowing the client to be a traveller on their own path to self-realisation.

It can be an effective tool for use in allowing relaxation, meditation and pain control.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy concentrates on what you want to achieve. This is particularly favoured by competitive sports people but is effective for anyone. Solution Focused Psychotherapy focuses on the present and future and not on the past. If you are prepared to make changes to the way you think, this therapy can be highly effective in alleviating the symptoms of anxiety and stress. Focusing on solutions means that you do not dwell on problems.

I work with the whole athlete (or person), not just on improving their physical abilities but helping them with mental strategies to overcome problems such as nervous tension, lack of self-confidence, competition angst. Stress related factors that can present as ritualistic behaviour or eating disorders.
