Very clear and detailed estimate so you know exactly what you are getting for your money.Scaffolding arrived just before need by date. kick off was on time as was completion.Removing existing worn out pointing was completed in one day thus minimising inconvenience on site and to close neighbours.Old pointing was mostly removed to 15-20mm depth which seems to be the industry standard.The new pointing is consistent over all surfaces and there is very little mortar contamination on the brick face. The mortar colour is quite yellow compared to original could be an issue on some jobs but not this one.On completion the site was cleaned up to an acceptable standard.The cost I believe, was value for money.Shaun is a rare gem in terms of his work ethic, his customer relations, helpfulness and dedication partly because I think he enjoys the work he does.I have no hesitation in recommending Castle Property Services for repointing or similar improvement projects. I highly recommend Castle Property Services.I was quoted that the work I had requested be done (repointing the front and side of the house and the chimney) would take a week. In fact it only took 3 days. The work was carried out to a high level of satisfaction. Highly professional and courteous. The clean up each day and after the work had been completed was the best I had ever experienced from a tradesman. Having had a lot of contact with various builders recently I can honestly say that this is the best experience we've had. Shaun was friendly, always turned up when he said he would and the quality of workmanship was excellent . He always left the site clean and tidy before he left. He was always willing to give advice and share his expertise and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. The work we had done included re-pointing, fascias, soffits, guttering and cladding and replacing of a lintel above the garage. This was the first time using Castle Property Services and we have found them to be very good indeed. Shaun is very friendly and always has a smile. He regularly kept us informed as to what he would be doing and when. Shaun and his team did a fantastic job of repointing and silicone sealing all our weathered brickwork, and installing cavity trays on the front of the building which faces South-West into the storms which whip along the Solent. It looks great and has proven to completely seal up the brickwork which had been allowing a lot of damp through during storms. Shaun advised us wisely, including advising us not to waste money on unnecessary work.
