Couldn't fault the food or service one but! A very pleasant experience and staff were very friendly. Offered a complimentary drink when we paid bill, but declined as it was a Sunday evening and work the next day 😂 Will definitely be back though 😊

I had really high expectations of tonight’s dinner (possibly this has contributed to how I felt when I left Carron to Mumbai). Starter portions were small, the main course arrived at the table before everyone had finished their starters leaving the staff trying to juggle with dirty starter plates and find space to put the main courses. My daughter politely left some of her starter to allow the staff to remove her plate. The atmosphere wasn’t great, it was mainly listening to the staff taking phone orders for takeaways on speaker phone. It really felt like the takeaway service was priority and the sit in diners were an afterthought. It’s confusing as it’s trying to be fine dining (fancy plating of food with lots of drizzled sauce and smashed poppadom) but without the fineness or atmosphere of fine dining. We left feeling so disappointed, a £100 meal for two adults and two kids and didn’t feel it was in any way value for money or a nice experience. Waited an hour and a half for a starter. Only half the main arrived another hour later and the salmon was full of bones. Then someone else’s food was given to us as the waiter didn’t know what it was 🤣🤣 faulty towers 🤣🤣 and I got ice and sliced orange in my prosecco? It a was a good laugh though. Booked a table for four adults and a high chair. Apparently they don’t have high chairs. Also couldn’t see a children’s menu however waiter stated they don’t offer a children’s menu? Definitely not child friendly. Disappointed as they could have stated this at time of booking. Sat for 15 minutes & drinks hadn’t came over yet. Ended up leaving and dining somewhere else. The food was good but the service was really poor. We waited 2 hrs for the food to be prepared and served. The takeaway service was flowing which deferred the service to the customers who were waiting for the sit down service were all complaining due to the lack of service. Venue looks fantastic and nice food, but service very slow (saw an adjacent table making several unsuccessful attempts to pay to oblivious waiting staff). They were playing pseudo techno music, which didn't contribute to a relaxing atmosphere, and waiting staff prioritised setting up tables for the next night over clearing our table/getting the bill etc. More...

Been twice now, once as a large group of 16 and then just 2 of us. The food was absolutely excellent, so nice to get away from the “bog standard” Indian dishes, although they are still on the menu, so there’s something for everyone. The decor is amazing, so unique - it’s worth a visit for that alone. Only quibbles are the tables in the booths could be bigger and we had several different staff asking us the same question ie "how is your meal ? A beautiful restaurant that served great food for our anniversary dinner. The Carron has been a real favourite of ours over the years and we are delighted with its rejuvenation. We were in for a meal on Tuesday a family of 4, Me my wife & our 2 children 1 & 6 year old at arrival the rest was very busy was quiet surprised for a Tuesday evening, in the restaurant the decor was amazing as soon as we arrived the waiters brought us a a high chair for my little boy my little girl was more in the garden with it being a lovely day,, They greeted us with a few cocktails from the bar which were lovely, All In all this rest is probably one the the best rest we’ve been in for a meal the food is amazing, the service was wonderful & couldn’t of asked for enymore to improve, Honestly this place is a gemstone In the making, Definitely will be back, & best of luck to these guys in their venture,,,,,,

Went for a birthday celebration and we all thought it was excellent!! Probably the nicest Indian we’ve had in a very long time. A couple of slight teething problems, totally overlooked by the fact the staff and manager were simply wonderful. Food was amazing and a definite 5* food was served promptly and presentation and taste superb. The whole concept is superb and decoration top class. Comfort had to be 2* as we were crammed into the carriages which should be avoided at all costs if you are over 10 years old or taller than 4 foot. Couples have to sit diagonally from each other as there is not enough room for 1 persons legs let alone two......a few hours later and I felt I would have been a sufferer of DVT!. The staff also lacked experience and my starter plate was removed before my husband was finished, wine was warm and there was not enough space on the table for our plates and drinks. Will definitely return as couldn't fault the meal but will be requesting a table in the restaurant in the future More...
