About

My life experiences culminate to enable me to interpret my client’s need and to originate a home interior that is unique to them. Through the design I envisage the story of my client’s life as they have told it to me. The process is a journey we take together and our destination is a reflection of their experiences, their aspirations and their happiness.

Q&As

I spend time listening to and understanding my clients so that together we can create a design brief. I do this by asking questions about their life and how the space works for them now and then I get them to tell me about how they see it being better. Once the brief is agreed I design the space to fit my clients unique needs.

Personally, I love colour and pattern. I’m all over the maximalist category but it is misleading to define this as my style. To be honest there isn't a straightforward answer to what my look is because I don’t believe that it’s my job to impose my style on my clients. We all express our uniqueness differently. Each new client I meet has their own sense of style and I always try to understand what will make my client feel comfortable. I’ve done Scandi, Maximalist, Minimalist, Country, Modern Country, Georgian Townhouse, Industrial, Scottish, Modern, Contemporary and Eclectic, I could go on. The point is that I believe that people need to surround themselves with people and things that they love. Your home should be a place where you feel secure and allows you express yourself. This is why I feel it is so important to focus on how you want your home to feel.

There is so much that I love about my work! The clients I get to know. The sense of achievement at project completion. The joy of working with materials that I adore.

I find my clients really interesting and I love to get to know and understand their needs. I want to create more than just a catalogue picture room for them. I want to create something that is uniquely them. Something exciting! One of my design principles for each space, be it shelf or cosy sofa, is to do something unexpected. Add a pair of sunglasses to the bust on your shelf or choose a jarring coloured cushion for the sofa. These little statements are a game changer and ramp up every scheme to the next level.

I prefer to meet my clients face to face but I find that a combination of face to face and online meetings through projects works really well to keep in touch.
