When you order from you it tends to be for party or simular. Ordered through deliveroo. Shows time of 16.20 pm i am still waiting 18. 35 and now expected at 18.50pm this company is a joke never use them if you care about a birthday or simular unless you want them when its over. No real help just say they are very busy. also as normal #deliveroo just sit there and take the money saying they cant help it would question why we all order through a third party when they say call Cakes today. I ordered 2x 10 inch cakes last month. At the time of taking order, I was put through to an adviser who would guide me.
I sent him photos on whats app, he told me and showed me a cake with a picture on his website and said my full cake would have a picture. It didn't, only the middle bit 4 inch of the cake had a picture and the 3 inches on both sides were blank/were left empty, it looked like a base only, ok mistake happened on their part but they could have used their initiative and covered the blank area with decoration but no. They think about pennies and not a thought for customers. The 2nd cake instead of a "C" for congratulations they spelt it with "L". Our day was completely ruined. I phoned straight away to see if they can salvage my day but they continued to hide/making excuses like team leader would call. No one called. Once they have your money that's it.
They have seriously got a nerve now to offer me a discount on next order I place, Instead of apologizing and saying sorry. NEVER USE THIS CAKE SHOP. The woman actually said it's the decorator who writes on the cake and he can write it anyway he wants plus the the writing is complimentary/free so I have no cause to complain. Said the photo was a portrait. Hello I had offered more photos before placing the the order. The so called adviser chose one of them saying it's perfect. No customer service after the huge mistakes and ruining our big day.

Excellent service. I ordered same day delivery and the service was great. It arrived on time! I had a rainbow cake which was large but was very light in weight (sign of a good cake!) and tasted good. Will use again.

I recently ordered a cake for a special occasion for my child.The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and had excellent recommendations for cake styles and designs. With their professional help I chose a lovely design.The delivery day and time slot were absolutely accurate. They even agreed to deliver on a Saturday evening! The service was first rate. When I got the cake it was beautiful. It was securely packed and well-protected.Due. solely to my own error (not any fault of Cakes Today), I had missed out some wording on the cake. To be honest, on a Sunday morning I expected little hope of being able to add some wording to the design. However, I then realised that Cakes Today is open on a Sunday. I called them first thing on Sunday morning and a member of staff was so helpful, bearing in mind that this was completely down to my own omission. They suggested that I pop over that Sunday morning and that they would try and help add some extra wording to the cake for me. When I arrived, the staff were brilliant and so helpful, despite my embarrassment of missing out wording on the cake. They even asked me what words and colours I wanted adding. They added the words in beautiful lettering in about 10 minutes. What is more, they didn't even look to charge me. Amazing!Needless to say, the cake tasted absolutely delicious. Found this company online as needed a cake very last minute and as it was so last minute and at such a great price, I expected the cake to be low quality.
. but to my surprise it tasted amazing and looked absolutely stunning! Communication throughout the entire process was great and the cake was delivered in perfect timing.
I feel that the lovely staff went above and beyond to make me happy and In fact it’s been a long time since I felt like such a valued customer.. regardless of my budget. Will definitely use this cake company again.

We have ordered a bespoke cake from Cakes Today. They said their bakery could do 80% of it but i thought they have done only 65% similar of the cake. Still i am satisfied with their service because they have tried to make the cake beautiful, didn't destroy my cake and made the cake as similar as possible what we have asked for. Service was absolutely amazing, after I was being indecisive the night before I got a phone call from Cakes Today on the day of my order asking if I still wanted the cake by 11am on the day of my birthday. Even after changing the venue of my celebration twice that day Cakes Today were able to deliver to the restaurant on the other side of town way before time. The cake was bigger than I ever imagined, looked even better than it did on the website and tasted amazing!! I will order from then again without a doubt! Cakes Today understand good customer service is just as important as is the cake itself. Always striving to learn and make changes I have found it refreshing to have the opportunity to meet with the founders of the company and ask us what they do well and what they could do better. I first ordered cakes with them a good few years ago - the pricing and delivery commitment was an instant thumbs up from me...and so when I tastes the cakes being so light and yum it became our go to place to order cakes for celebrations, events, thank yous etc. They really work with the customer to deliver the cake and experience desired. Going above and beyond is ingrained in company culture I think as even if I have called last minute and than had a number of changes to end product they have patiently worked with me to deliver. Be it corporate requirement and or a personal family birthday cake...you get the feeling your custom is much valued and appreciated. If you are left feeling any less they strive to do their best to rectify. Cakes Today is a company I would recommend as the both the product and customer service are great.
