I'm the receptionist of a high profile company within Middlesbrough. Marie not only deliverd the most amazing buffet you have ever seen at very short notice, but also catered to everyone's diety needs and food preferences which was no easy task. The CEO of the company now requests Cafe81 catering each time he visits our North East Office. I have been twice to this cafe and can highly recommend it. I had the small English breakfast both times. Cooked to perfection, not greasy at all and very tasty! Value for money and excellent customer service, with the owner over-seeing everything to ensure things are completed as they should be in a polite and friendly manner. I went to this venue for afternoon tea - gluten free and vegetarian. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Free parking outside. I was very happy with the amount of food for the price paid. The menu offered gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian so very inclusive with good procedures in place to prevent cross contamination. I can’t recommend the buffet services enough. There was soo much food we needed to move the set up to the kitchen as it didn’t all fit on the table we had set out. Lol. Overall the buffet was well priced and definitely catered for everyone, adults and kids alike. I didn’t need to think about anything. From salad to a good selection of sandwiches to quiches sausage rolls and pork pies! A hidden gem and a fabulous find. We will be definitely using Cafe 81 again! More...

Brilliant Customer service. Home made food wherever possible, and for me, being able to reliably eat Gluten Free. I went in the cafe in Lockdown ease last summer and their Thai chicken curry was beautiful (home made).. Fully recommend.

I stopped off for a bit of lunch, when I walked in my first thought was why have I never been here before, lovely place served by 2 lovely ladies, and to top it off the Toastie was absolutely gorgeous, and the coleslaw was certainly home made, I will certainly be coming back 🎄🎄😀

Such an amazing selection of high quality gluten free food - I don’t recall ever using ‘high quality’ and ‘gluten free’ together in a sentence before! I came home with an experimental vegan cheesecake. Now, I’m not a huge fan of cheesecake, so I insisted my other half, who loves ‘standard’ cheesecake had some. I got a reluctant ‘ok then’. Followed almost instantaneously with ‘that’s LOVELY!! I’ll have all of it!!’ I managed to keep half of it and it was blooming lovely.
