About

Why Bye Magnolia?

For decades developers and homeowners have painted every single room, floor to ceiling, in a vanilla-like colour called magnolia. The purpose was appealing to the broadest number of people to make a quick sale or let. That way magnolia paint became a symbol of the impersonal, careless and dull property business, killing any single chance of self-expression.

Working together with Ricardo was a great experience. Ricardo is innovative, imaginative with an excellent eye for detail. I wish Bye Magnolia all the success and look forward to the opportunity to work together again. Good luck Ricky! Much love from Malta and us all at the studio 🤍 More...

Q&As

Each project is different and has its own pace but generally, I like to start all my projects with a conversation. That way we get to know each other and find the main areas where you will need my help. Then we will develop a concept, we work on the space planning (the way you will move around the rooms) and finally, we get to choose finishes, furniture and decor accessories down to the last detail.
I try to make the process very easy and enjoyable.

Although most of the time is the character of the client and the property that dictates the style, I feel more comfortable developing timeless, elegant yet cosy interiors.

I love creating spaces that tell stories. I use to say that "Interior design is power". It can uplift your mood, relax your body, make you travel to remote places, or even bring your childhood memories back.

Unlike big firms where many people get involved in your project, my design is limited to one or two people. So you will talk directly to the person who is going to design your property (which is me), making it more personal, approachable and familiar.

Fortunately, new technologies allow us to offer some interior design services remotely. We can create concepts, study the layout of your property or even provide you with a shopping list for you to work on the design at your own pace and from anywhere in the world.
I also have a personal Q&A virtual service with me to tackle all those small dilemmas around your property. Things like what do I put on that huge wall? how can I add some personality to my living room without changing everything? shall I knock off this wall to make the room bigger?...
