Outstanding wedding food and service in the Manchester/Derbyshire area!Carl and his catering team gave an outstanding service, and so many wedding guests said how much they enjoyed the food. Carl made it clear from the beginning that we could have whatever we wanted. He cooked us a delicious taster meal and talked through ideas. Even when we made last minute changes eg about timings, he was always accomodating, trusting and polite. The food was delicious and exactly what we had hoped for. The staff were very attentive and kind - they also seemed genuinely happy to be there.The pricing is very reasonable compared to any other catering services in Manchester area, but what really stands out is the personal touch and high quality. Contacted Carl 5 days before my daughters wedding to see if the company could provide canapés .Although short notice Carl was really helpful with suggestions and budget . He responded promptly to messages and emails. They were organised within 2 days . On the wedding day, delivered on time to the tipi on a farm .Beautifully displayed looked very impressive . Carl was fantastic from the first phone call. After listening to what we wanted for our DIY wedding, he tailored an offering that suited our requirements and budget perfectly. We had the By Request BBQ for our main wedding breakfast and then when booking that, the service was so good, we decided to also book their pizzas for our evening food. In the run up to the wedding Carl took time to talk through the whole set up over the phone which gave me great reassurance that everything would work well on the day. And it did! We planned a 40th birthday party for myself and all our friends and family at our house. We had invited about 30 adults and we wanted to provide lots food for them all. We found By Request online and read the very good reviews. I phoned up and spoke to Carl who said they would be able to help us out for the date we needed. He emailed me a fantastic menu selection. I used these menus and some of my own ideas to decide what our buffet would include. I was offered a great price for the buffet we wanted. Carl arrived with our food earlier than planned. He was very professional and organised. Food looked good and was presented nicely. Everyone at our party loved the food. Ham was really tasty, as were the quiches and the lovely salads. For number of years, By Request have catered for lunches for a party of elderly people at the hall of our local church, St. Chad's, Cheadle, Cheshire. By Request arranged the funeral buffet for my mother's funeral. Carl was really helpful and professional and compassionate throughout responding to emails in a timely informative manner. He was happy to adjust the set menu to take into account dietary requirements and was flexible with the cake options. Trust me when I say that nobody is more focused on perfection than myself and as a result I never write reviews because I feel that in today's world it's rare if ever, that things really reach the mark. Well here's the exception, because with By Request everything from the mannerism, the attention to detail, the delivery of the service etc is simply off the planet. It's safe to say that it really doesn't get any better than this and without any doubt they played a fundamental part in making a perfect day.Just a pity there isn't a 10 star review !.....but even if there was I'd give them 11 stars We can't thank you enough Carl....you should be massively proud of what you've created Carlsberg don't do catering but if they did it would be called "By Request ! The occasion was our daughter’s 18th birthday celebration. The services provided by ‘By Request’ were exceptional from start to finish. The friendly team were a godsend from the moment they arrived. They mucked in helping us to finish the party decor- which we wouldn’t have finished on time without their help.Their BBQ was excellent and we received lots of very positive feedback from our guests about the food.They willingly obliged and stayed on an extra hour to serve drinks- nothing was too much trouble. By Request Catering catered for 100 guests at our recent wedding (4th August 2018); from the first phone call to the final service of our wedding breakfast and evening buffet I was put at ease and felt confident in this outstanding service.
