Our son is home schooled and Ethan is his Biology teacher. Ethan started in September 2020 and is teaching Edexcel iGCSE curriculum. From day one he was able to create a plan for the year with each week allocated to a topic from the curriculum. This was very helpful for us as parents. Ethan also planned the schedule in such a way as to give enough time for revisions in spring. Our son is now working on past papers. He is doing very well receiving 9s for his work. What is more important to us is that our son has become comfortable with the subject and is routinely applying his knowledge in our daily life. What do you love most about your job?
The aspect I love most about my job is that it is rewarding. For example, I was supporting a psychology student where I explain to her the best ways to approach the material. I explained to her that instead of memorisation it was better to understand the materials in relation to the learning objectives. She understood it and it became an effective tool for her learning. She found approaching material easier and less stressful.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Unfortunately, there are not many tutoring jobs near me. I decided that I would do what I love more often and in a official capacity.
