Bob was extremely helpful, in the whole matter. As well as doing his report, he liaised with his recommended contractors, who had to do necessary works, ensuring the correct works were done. This actually saved us some money, ensuring the correct works were done. Bob's fees seemed extremely reasonable and did not charge us any extra, for the extra work he did. Firstly it’s in the small print the surveyor/building consultant did not come out. They sent some one from 150 miles away with a phone to show him on a video call. Secondly I did not get a report I got a two paragraph letter with no photos nothing just an opinion of a few lines from a consultant who hadn’t even been there. I couldn’t used this is any way as there are no photos of what they saw etc. Disgraceful. Apparently it’s my fault for not reading the tiny small print. More...

A really good service. They contacted me within 15 minutes and arranged a same day video review. The review was excellent and was able to diagnose my problem quickly and propose a way to resolve it within 20 minutes.

Glad we were able to help Jonathan, we find the remote video inspection service is ideal for keeping costs and turnaround times down.

Disappointing. We commissioned Martin Gustyn and Associates Ltd to assess our garden wall with an assessment of its condition and a recommendation of any remedial work (in written form so that we could share this with our contractors). Martin was very friendly but we paid £350 and received nothing of the sort, only a long list of quotations for additional services. Tremendously helpful when a rogue party wall surveyor tried to nab business by sending confusing unsolicited mail to our neighbours. The firm in question wouldn't back off and quoted us lines from the Party Wall Act, but with telephone advice from the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors we were able to understand that those lines didn't apply to our situation, and we successfully uninvited the gatecrashers from our party.
