Hello I’m Bronia. I have my Grade 6 in pianoforte and Grade 5 theory combined with having attended a ABRSM conference in London for teachers. I have been teaching both children and adults privately for the past 13 years and prior to that in my teens. My mum was also a private music teacher so I have access to an extensive library of material to loan out. I am classically trained but can teach a whole range of genres of music. I have weekly and fortnightly availability. Current teaching days are Monday evenings all day Saturdays, Tuesday evenings and Friday evenings. I have attended many training courses including train the trainer. I hold a clean enhanced DBS which is on the update service and safeguarding level 1 and introduction. I have taught in a private school in the past and undertaken relief teaching. I have 3 children of my own at primary school, secondary school leaver and university. I love being part of the journey of someone learning a new skill and developing themselves. I am very flexible in my approach to suit the interests and pace of the learner. I have had pupils in the past grow from complete beginner to performing on stage and others taking exams. My emphasis is on enjoyment, building confidence and understanding, along with generally exploring the types of music that can be played. I combine practical skills with theory for full understanding. I teach on a traditional piano and multi-function keyboards. To date my exam students have gained merits and distinctions. Along with many others playing for pleasure and progressing. I am very flexible to fit with the needs and learning styles of my students. I will add in exercises and theory for all round understanding.
