This firm has been dealing with my late father's estate for over 8 years. I was unhappy with the way the firm handled matters and with the fees charged. I lodged complaints about conduct and service with the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. The SLCC investigated the service issues and determined that the firm had charged fees for unnecessary work and had provided an inadequate professional service to their clients. The SLCC determined that some fees charged should be refunded and that I should receive some compensation. The Law Society of Scotland are now investigating my complaints about the conduct of the solicitors concerned. More...

Was looking for a solicitor to deal with an executor who was refusing to pay out the inheritance I was due, Brodies done in 6 weeks which we had been trying to do for the past 2 and a half years, they dealt with him swiftly and decisively, seeing through his web of lies and smoke and mirror's type behaviour, the solicitor was fantastic and kept me updated even as soon as a recorded delivery was signed for and would always answer your call if available, or would call back normally within an hour, it's a pity that the law is so lax when it comes to people registering death's and becoming executors this was his fourth time ,and there is no one able to check that they are doing the job correctly, another solicitor was hired by him the executor at a cost of just under £8000, he told them not to give out any information yet it was our mother's money he was using, he then got rid of them, and sat on the money forcing court action, as you can see it was a nightmare, if you find yourself needing a good solicitor I would reccomend Brodies without any hesitation and would like to thank them for there dedication and extremely hard work they put into this over a relatively short space of time..
