This is going to be quite a lengthy review, but the one-line summary is: an excellent service in every respect, & exceeded expectations.
Highly recommended.
If you need more detail, then here's why the glowing review:
1. I wasn't sure how long the job would take so asked for a quote. Brendan offered me two - either a guaranteed total price, or per-part-hour rate, plus some for fuel. Very fair I thought, & both rates were reasonable (less than it would have cost me to hire a small van on a Sunday).
2. Brendan arrived five minutes early to collect me. I was running late, but he seemed quite content to park up & wait for me to be ready.
3. I managed to send us down a couple of wrong turns on the way (to collect some furniture), which resulted in some pretty tricky reversing. He had every right to be cursing me under his breath, but to the contrary he kept in great spirits from start to finish, & I have to say is very enjoyable company! Nothing seemed to phase him.
4. Industrious, relaxed, & competent. With no stress we got two large sofas, & a table & chairs out through fairly narrow doors, with no damage to the furniture or the doors. He busied himself tying things down in the van while I sorted out the payment.
5. He helped out with tools & expertise to re-assemble the dining table I had just purchased, which was certainly not an agreed part of the job.
6. At the end of everything, he charged me less than it should have come to, based on the time taken.
So, as I say - great service from end to end.
