What’s your interior design process?
We begin with a one-on-one design consultation where we get to know the ins and outs of your project. We'll have a friendly chat about how you live in your home, the vibe you want to create, and what you're hoping to achieve.
From there, we'll work side by side to craft a design concept that's tailor-made just for you. I'll make sure it's heading in the direction you desire. Together, I'll dive into the nitty-gritty of your design, taking care of every detail. When it comes to furnishing, I'll handle everything from ordering, deliveries to returns and refunds. Project management is available to ensure the smooth delivery of your design and renovation.
My goal is to make the process stress-free and help you create an interior that not only meets but exceeds your expectations.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
My forte lies in creating contemporary interiors with a dash of mid-century charm and the inviting simplicity of Scandinavian design. I've always been inspired by the clean lines, warm textures, bold contrasts, and timeless appeal of these styles. Blending the best of both worlds, I strive to craft spaces that are not only stylish and functional but also exude a welcoming and cosy atmosphere. Whether it's the iconic furniture pieces of mid-century design or the minimalistic elegance of Scandi interiors, I love fusing these elements to fashion spaces that resonate with modern sensibilities while maintaining a comfortable and homely vibe.
What do you love most about your job?
I'm truly drawn to the creative side of my work and the chance to connect with a diverse group of wonderful people. Making their dreams a reality is what I love, and there's a real sense of accomplishment when you see a well-planned project come to life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
You could say my journey into interior design was an unconventional one, originating from a career in the West End where I used to sing for my supper in leading roles. But my true passion has always been the world of interiors and home renovations. I've had the opportunity to flip countless properties over the years, gaining invaluable insights into the intricate process of managing builds and bringing my visions to life.
When the opportunity for a new direction arose, it was clear that the realm of interiors was my calling. Completing a diploma in Interior Design during lockdown solidified my passion, leading to the inception of Bower Interior Design.
In addition to my hands-on experience, I've had the privilege of working on Prime-Time Channel 4 shows like "Worst House On The Street" and "Can't Sell, Must Sell." with presenters Scarlette and Stuart Douglas. This incredible experience taught me invaluable lessons in working under pressure (especially with a camera in my face!) and managing projects within budget constraints. It reinforced the importance of remaining calm, cool, and collected, even in the face of unexpected challenges.
Renovating may seem daunting to those unfamiliar with the process. Where do you even start?! But for me, it's a source of excitement. I thrive on the potential and possibilities that each property holds. Refreshing tired homes is a challenge I genuinely enjoy, and now, witnessing the emotional connection my clients have with their homes makes me so happy.
My ultimate goal is simple: to partner with you in realising your interior aspirations, whether it's a spa-like bathroom or a complete home overhaul.
