Personal Trainers

I contacted Dave as I like his holistic approach to training. Having had two shoulder impingement surgeries over 2 years (same shoulder) I had become very limited with my exercise and was wary of doing anything in the gym, consequently I wasn't doing much in strength training. Dave listened to my concerns and what I wanted to achieve and came up with a plan that now has me using my body in a way that will help prevent any further injuries, including the shoulder or he gives me an alternative if I find it too painful. He is now helping me improve my core strength and legs in preparation for a 6 day hike for the Camino Way in June. Dave has been my PT for over 2 years and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. I’ve had years of difficulty with a weak lower back and recurring flare-ups which have made it difficult to improve my overall strength and fitness.

When I started training with Dave he showed me a completely different approach to the gym and fitness in general and I love it. He adopts a holistic approach and works on a “healthy mind,healthy body “ mindset which clicks with my own mentality and for me it just works really well.

I have learned so much about my back and glute muscles in my time with Dave and have achieved exercises and strength I would previously have never thought possible. Often the simplest moves are the most difficult and Dave always manages to strip exercise back to the simple basics which gives me more lasting results. He is always innovative with his sessions and makes them challenging and enjoyable!

I've been working with Dave since March, with him providing nutritional advice and one-to-one training sessions and I can not recommend him more highly.

I choose Dave as I knew the traditional gym environment was not for me and although weight loss was a motivation to start I also wanted to form good habits and learn about how to be healthier.

Dave has provided dietary advice which has helped with portion control, eating the right food to feel full for longer, feeling less tired throughout the day and no more stomach aches. He provided simple advice for changes to my diet but it made it easier to stick to.

In the training sessions Dave has used a variety of exercises but with a focused on my areas of weakness (such as legs). He also focuses on form and technique . I've learnt so much a long the way and I always come away from sessions energised.

I started with Dave as I was getting married but will be carrying on with it after my wedding as I enjoy it so much.

I have tried many fad diets over the years and always managed to lose a few pounds here and there but would often lose will power or succumb to hunger and end up binge eating and putting it back on.

Dave's nutritional coaching taught me so much about nutrition and by making small, sustainable changes, I was able to successfully lose 16 pounds in a healthy maintainable way... and just in time for my wedding.

The regular meetings with Dave and contact through email and whatsapp held me accountable and ensured I stuck with my new diet changes - this is something that I found extremely useful as I have often lacked will power in the past and fallen off the band wagon.

Dave also focused on my sleep quality, exercise and general mood and taught me how the food I was eating effected all these things. The helpful recipes he gave me I still make today and though I have now relaxed my diet now I have reached my target weight, I am forever grateful for the friendly, informative and supportive service Dave provided for my weight loss journey.

There's no "cookie cutter" program's off the shelve. It's a process that involves fixing any aches, pains and movement restrictions which will allow me to teach you how to move and push your body in an instinctive and fun way that reaps rewards not just in the present, but for a life time.

Developing the habits that will lead you down the path towards success.

- This means eating a diet that's attainable and sustainable for you, portion controlled, and 90% whole natural unprocessed foods.

- Sleep must be a priority, with a minimum 7 hours of restful sleep each night.

- The last piece of the puzzle is finding an exercise regimen that pushes you physically and mentally whilst keeping you engaged, and has you looking forward to your next session.

When I finish working with clients and I see the sparkle in their eyes and a spring in their step. It gives me the satisfaction that their leaving the session not just physically pushed and improved, but also with a positive mindset for the rest of the day - I love the feeling of having a positive affect on peoples lives!

60 minute 1-2-1 sessions focused solely on your needs and wants. No two sessions are the same. My aim is to teach you the necessary skills and knowledge so you can take full control of your fitness outside of our sessions.

A comprehensive education in nutrition, one where i will teach you what your body needs and when, how to form life changing habits, and how not to get trapped by fads, quick fixes and "dieting".

It's all about developing a life long relationship with food that's sustainable and pragmatic towards your needs.
