We have used the services of Blue Rock construction for over ten years. We first chose to go with Blue Rock having seen the high quality of their work in the local area. We rather suspected that a firm producing workmanship of this calibre would be very expensive however their pricing is very reasonable and competitive. After obtaining quotes from other building firms Blue Rock Construction was far from being the most expensive. We were particularly impressed by the attitude of Tony who does not find work where it is unnecessarily needed. No scare tactics to make you agree to more work than is needed or required, and not knowing much about building construction that has been very important to us. Tony and his team have a genuine and positive attitude towards their work and have always done their utmost to finish jobs to the specification we have asked for and within the time scales given at the outset. Blue Rock Construction keep you informed and involve you at every stage. Tony and his team are always ready to hear about and to discuss any issues that arise. They have given advice on aspects such as obtaining planning permission and structural surveys. Client satisfaction does not come secondary to this form and if you want a builder you can trust to do a good job, and not be charged an exorbitant price, then we would recommend that you get in touch with Blue Rock Construction. "Probably" the best Builders in the World....well Essex at least !Having interviewed and despaired at pretty much 90 % of the 14 other Builders we interviewed for a very large Extension and Re-build, we found Blue Rock in. ..Yellow Pages ! They interviewed extremely well, their prices were competitive and visiting their previous projects we could see everything had been completed to a very high standard.Works started as agreed and it was only then that Blue Rock came in to their own. They were punctual, polite, friendly, worked a full day, every day, but moreover they were extremely helpful and only too pleased to impart their unlimited and professional expertise. They opened our eyes to a plethora of different choices and then allowed us to make every decision we wanted and on our own terms.Their build quality is exemplary and despite the terrible weather they worked tirelessly to keep the works on schedule. Every Building Inspection was passed without hitch and they even directed our Architect on certain aspects to ensure aesthetic continuity with build safety and quality uppermost. Truth be known, as individuals we had actually taken on more than we could chew. This was an 8 month build that we were going to live in night and day, but with Blue Rock on our side it was relatively easy. All of the Staff provided us with unlimited assistance and turned what could have been a living nightmare in to a pleasurable experience that will live long in the memory. We have often thought that another Builder may easily have taken advantage of our limited experience, but Blue Rock's integrity in all matters readily shone through.With their help, we have transformed an "Ugly Duckling" in to a breath-taking Home that is a pleasure to live in and have already instructed Blue Rock to commence on further outside works to further enhance our lives.We cannot recommend them more highly and remain a very satisfied Customer ! We had several builders give us quotes for our lounge extension and garage build and it was obvious right from the start that Blue Rock were the only company we felt comfortable with. They were highly recommended by our architect and we can see why! Their website showed a good selection of the projects they had worked on with lots of pictures before, during and after build. Tony was punctual, professional, listened to our requirements and then provided a comprehensive, competitive quote which was backed by FMB warranty. You might think that all builders would be the same but we had one that didn’t even turn up to quote, one that didn’t send a quote, another that told me the price over the phone as they couldn’t be bothered to write it all out – and then proceeded to bully me when I said we had chosen someone else! The first thing they did was get all the staff around to introduce themselves one afternoon which was a nice touch. After all, they do become part of your life for some time whilst the work is ongoing. All staff are extremely professional, friendly and work a full day in all kinds of inclement weather. Even when we thought there would be a problem, they would always find a practical way to resolve it.. Nothing was too much trouble and the quality and expertise of the workmanship has been favourably commented on by friends and neighbours. We cannot recommend Blue Rock highly enough as they made the whole process so easy and painfree - nothing like the horror stories you see on Grand Designs! More...
