ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC DOG TRAINING!! I have two cockapoos and both are doing amazing in Stuart and joes classes. My first dog I attended blue ridge with was very nervous and had a few behaviour issues and was also very over excitable, I started blue ridge and within just a few sessions my dog was doing so well we all noticed a big difference, All methods used was through positive reinforcement & my dog really enjoyed it. Stuart and Joe even taught my 9 year old son how to handle him correctly and even had him healing him on the lead in just one session, since then we have entered him in competitions at numerous dog shows. He have now moved on to the search/scent classes at blue ridge. (My dog love these) My second dog is now attending puppy classes at blue ridge and at just 6 months old she can sit, stay, lie, spin, place, heal. It’s also helping with socialising her with other dogs of the same age. I always recommend these guys… I have had large breed dogs in the past and had attended many classes and used dog trainers and the results didn’t come close. Couldn't recommend Blue Ridge enough, the trainers are fantastic and you can really tell they understand each breed perfectly. Given you advice on things to work on during class and at home/on walks etc. I took my dachshund when he was 18 months so the training took longer to come together than other dogs but they stuck with me (and Milo) and would give me little steps to work on to help get Milo where we wanted him to be. The improvement in my dog was amazing to see and it really was because of Blue Ridge that this happened. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and they would talk you through why we were doing a certain exercise. If down the line I get another dog, I won't be hesitating to go back here. More...

Trying to sign up to these classes have been anything but pleasent. The person who runs this has been rude, uninformed and even unforthcoming on how they run the classes and what they contain. We've talked to many other trainers and they've been immeasurably better than the interactions we've had here. I'd advise anyone looking for classes to look elsewhere. More...

I attend puppy classes weekly with my spaniel. The classes are always enjoyable and well organized. The trainers are very knowledgeable and are happy to answer any queries/questions. I have also had a one to one session to help me with recall. This has taught me how to succesfully recall my dog, particularly when there are lots of distractions and has given me confidence to let my dog off the lead. I cannot thank blue ridge academy enough for the guidance and training provided during all classes. We joined the weekly classes (recommended by a friend) when my boder collie was 13 weeks old and every week I see amazing progress, he loves going to classes. Both trainers are highly knowledgeable. Classes are well organized, 1 hour class. You learn many essential skills such as recall and heal work. We will be joining blue ridges agility school once he is older and ready for more fun. Both trainers provide you with the guidance as an owner on how to deal with any issues you may have and give you tips on how to improve at home and most importantly outside your home. At the location there is a petting farm full of animals which is great for my puppy to observe safely, this has been invaluable with his breed, he loves to see the ferrets and pigs.
