How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
A site visit would need to be carried out to establish whether or not the clients needs for within permitted development and all relevant building control regulations would need to be followed. 
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
Site assessment – to determine whether or not area is larger enough to accommodate clients needs.
Foundations-the most important part of the project.
Construction of perimeter wall – various different construction techniques could be used such as timber frame, brick/block.
Roof works – dependent on whether or not PD regulations would need to be followed on height restrictions discussions would be had on flat or pitched roofs.
Internal fit out – what electrical/mechanical requirements the client would like.
Finishes – the the pretty little things such as paint, colours floor finishes, skirting etc.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
There are so many variables to this question, depending on size, internal requirements (such as 1/2 bedrooms, ensuite/individual WC) an on-site assessment would definitely need to take place.
