What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
At Blau Photography we believe, that great photographs capture honest moments. Hence we have a naturalistic almost documentarian approach to photography. We believe, that creating the right atmosphere on any photo shoot goes a long way to getting the desired photos.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What’s your vision? What do you want to achieve with these photos? Where do you want to take the photos? Do you want to come up with every last detail or do you want us to take care of every detail? How much time are you willing to spend on this? What is your budget?
What do you love most about your job?
Humans are complex beings with so many thoughts and issues constantly going through their minds. In these chaotic modern times people forget to stop and just enjoy the moments. They just simply don’t have the time for it. This is where we photographers come in. When they share a quick smile, a hug or a high five we capture it. It would have been lost in their memory, because they just don’t have time to embrace, that emotion, and process everything, that happens with them in such impulse rich times. But at the end of the day when they see, that photo the scene is replayed in their heads and if you did your work well it will trigger an emotional response. Seeing or hearing about, that response is what makes all the hard work worth it at the end of the day, knowing, that you made someone excited, happy, weepy or flabbergasted.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The love of photography is what has always inspired us. We wanted to push the boundaries and create never before seen images. Images, that will be valuable, and meaningful for people.
