My dentist recommended Amit as the best specialist in the Midlands for ensuring long term maintenance of my teeth and gums. Amit is astonishingly clear about the steps required to reverse periodontal disease and more importantly how to use the interdental brushes effectively and to brush your teeth. He told me things I had never heard in that detail before. The treatment process involved me taking responsibility for following the steps involved and using the right brushing techniques with both types of brush on a daily basis. Amit gave me the confidence to believe I could do it. There was dramatic improvements within three months and a year later the trend continues. I was pleasantly surprised of how little discomfort I had after treatment the first time. The outcome has been to reverse the gum recession I had to stop gum bleeding and make my gums healthy. I was recommended by my Dentist as best in this type of work. He explained everything to me talked me through the journey , what would happen at each stage . The only painful part was stage 3 which involved putting the screw into the bone but everything else was pain free. I am extremely happy with the results and my teeth feel natural. I would definitely consider doing again if the work was required and it is an area you think twice on spending money but your confidence and wellbeing is so much better if you are confident about your smile and your teeth. I have recently completed an implant process with Amit Patel and I am very pleased with how it went and with the final result. Amit is skilful and adept. I was referred to you some years previously for periodontal treatment. At which time the possibility of implants was discussed for the future if the condition of my gums improved significantly. Dr Patel is confident and extremely experienced in his field and what is commonplace for him is not so for the patient. He endeavoured to explain the processes in detail although they were not always immediately understood by me as the patient. The prospect of invasive surgery is, I suggest, always a bit daunting and as a patient I was not always at ease — I am quite sure that other patients were probably more relaxed than me. The process involved the extraction of two teeth, wearing a temporary denture whilst the gums healed, the insertion of two implants and powered bone graft. The process took six months. Yes, there was discomfort and I expected there to be but there was more discomfort with one implant than with the other. Again, when the teeth were finally fixed in place onto the implants there was more discomfort with that particular implant than with the other. I am extremely happy with the appearance of the final result. I think it was a good investment for my health and wellbeing and has given me back confidence I had lost. I was referred by my dentist, Raghav, at Bhandal Dental Practice in Cradley Heath as had lost a tooth whilst injuring myself out running. Amit’s approach was very professional, friendly and customer-focused. I felt very at ease and explanations were very clear. My treatment involved an implant and crown. Amit went over and above what was required as he also moulded a new retainer for me which was very much appreciated. I had discomfort for a few hours but this had been expected. I was delighted with the results and I had to go back as my crown had become loose that was sorted very quickly and promptly by Amit. This is a very caring and friendly dental practice. Amit Patel took great care of my condition and worked really hard to improve on my dental hygiene. I had a sinus lift which was not an easy procedure followed by a dental implant. Amit’s work has been extraordinary and very reassuring in a difficult time. I was referred by my dentist to treat my periodontis. My experience was very good and Amit really took the time to patiently explain the cause, the treatment and the likely outcomes. I required deep cleaning of the gums below the gum line towards the bone area to remove the infectious matter. It took approximately an hour. There was a slight bit of pain but this was to be expected given the trauma to the gums caused by the cleaning process, pain killers helped, but next day the pain had almost gone. The outcome was excellent and my gums are now much healthier, I have fresher breath, my gums are pink and fresh, not red, inflamed and bleeding as they were before the treatment, further tooth loss was prevented, and some of the teeth that were loose are now much more stable as the gap between the teeth and the gums has narrowed, helping to stabilise the tooth. I was given a clear and detailed account of the treatment I would need. Amit and his team were able to put me completely at ease during my treatment and were hugely friendly and professional in his manner. I had two lots of treatment involving gum disease treatment and two implants, which took around a year all in all. The main discomfort during the implant process came from the plastic shield used to prevent my mouth closing but the actual implants were fine after a couple of days. I was recommended by my regular dentist (Bhandal Dental Surgery, Netherton). Amit’s approach was informative and helpful. He was reassuring and his manner relaxed and friendly . The procedure involved Inserting an implant. It involved 4 visits over a period of approximately 5 months. I did experience more discomfort than anticipated when the actual tooth was attached. I hadn't imagined initially that this would be painful but I was warned that this could be the case and that I could have an injection if I wished. With hindsight, I think it would have been preferable to have had this injection to have made the experience less painful. Had a few issues with my front teeth and I was recommended to Amit Patel by my normal dentist. I had everything explained in detail so I fully understood what would happen during the implant procedure. I needed the teeth removing and a bone graft to have the implant fitted and there wasn’t much pain at all in terms of recovery. Felt slightly uncomfortable for a couple of days but after this period, the pain had completely disappeared and I am now enjoying a brand new smile thanks to Amit and the team at BDS. I visited BDS for the first time around a year ago having not been to a dentist in a long time and my gums were not in the best shape. I came to Birmingham Dental Specialists because I was suffering from a loose tooth and wanted to retain my smile. Amit and his team explained every step and reassured me all the way throughout my treatment. My treatment took around 12 months in total because I had to wait to have treatment done in the school holidays. I had 4 teeth out with a bone graft consisting of 2 implants and bridges. My dental hygienist recommended me to Amit Patel and his surgery based in the city centre. He explained all the technical stuff very clearly and was very reassuring throughout the whole process.

My treatment involved having a troublesome tooth removed and having a new implant put in its place. I was surprised at the lack of discomfort throughout the process and was over the moon with the entire process and the final outcome. The implant looks impeccable and was able to eat normally pretty much straight away after giving it a day or so.

I was recommended by Sherwood Dental Practice to use Birmingham Dental Specialists and I was delighted with the results he provided. Dr. Patel remained straight to the point, was extremely clear and answered any questions I had with confidence. I had to have 4 treatments altogether to fit an implant and I can say that none of the procedures left me in any real discomfort or pain. It was slightly sore once the anaesthetic had worn off a couple of days after but it was nothing that I wasn’t expecting or had been told about previously. I am over the moon with the final results! My dentist recommended me to Birmingham Dental Specialists to have some work done. Dr. Patel remained transparent throughout the entire process, explaining to me each visit what was going to happen each time and how each procedure would go so there were no surprises.

I had 3 appointments all in all with Dr. Patel all of which didn’t last any longer than an hour and I am delighted with the final result. The discomfort was very minimal and there was virtually no pain. My gums no longer bleed and my teeth feel fantastic.

I was referred to Amit by my implantologist because I had poor gum health. On my initial visit Amit conducted a thorough examination of my gums, explained and demonstrated good practice for cleaning and produced a treatment plan. At all times, whilst being professional, he was friendly and reassuring making me feel quite at ease. The treatment involved deep root cleaning which I opted to have in one session rather than two and which we arranged for three months after the first visit to allow the cleaning and my new technique to have effect. Amit explained what I should expect, providing a level of confidence without minimising any discomfort I might encounter. The treatment itself took a couple of hours and although a little uncomfortable was perfectly OK not least because Amit was highly professional and reassuring. I was given post treatment instructions which proved to be accurate and the initial soreness and discomfort soon wore off as predicted. I’m writing this review after my final visit to Amit where I’ve been given the all clear and I can honestly say that the improvement in my oral health has been nothing short of dramatic. After a Lot Of research and Consulting Many Implant surgeons , Someone recommended Amit at Birmingham Dental Specialist . I had Had two Other Consultations with other Implant surgeons and all they wanted to do was take all my teeth out and replace them with implants plus they didnt make me feel very reassured This wasnt one or two teeth nor a small amount of money i was going to spend . I just didnt feel right what they were telling me until i had my first consultation with Amit . Straight away he was Like no no no so i had my Scan and yes i did need a lot replacing top and Bottom My mouth was In a right state but Amit assured me that most off them could be saved with Crowns and Vinears . So Three yrs ago I took the Plunge and all I can Say Is I can smile again and it has Litterlery changed my Life , i can eat steak again and Biscuits and Crisps lol . The First part off having The top implants placed In was probably the worst part as I had to have Bone Graft and a Sinus Lift plus a lip Lift and 5 Implants Placed . I really didnt know What To expect But Amit is Absolutely Brilliant , and talked me through the Whole Procedure . Yes After The Top implants were placed you i got Lot of Swelling and i mean a Lot But there Was No pain just uncomfortable but he did explain this too me , I must admit i couldnt leave the house for a few days cuz the way i looked , Cuz it was Scary lol But i can Honestly say There Was No pain the day after The surgery . The only pain i had was from the amount of injections i had during the procedure which made the rough of my mouth sore . Then the Rest of the procedure to put in the Imbudants and the Teeth Were Fairly straight Forward .Then On the Bottom i have had a few implants on one side Then Just One on The Other , The Bottoms were a Walk in The park compared To the Swelling On the Top . Then His partner Phill Did the Crowns And vinears on My other Teeth . The whole Procedure has Taken Two and Half Yrs and Yes It wasnt Cheap But what you are paying For Is Amit . He is Proberly One Of the Best Implant surgeons in The Country which he doesnt like to say . But he is not Just an Implant surgeon He Flys Round the World Giving Seminars To other Surgeons and also Lectures .
