I would give more stars if i could! I have now worked with Gilly for 6 months and have made significant changes to my health that have developed into long-term, sustainable habits. Gilly is incredibly knowledgeable and not only guided me to make healthy decisions but also gave reasons how these decisions affect my body and hormonal cycles, which as a 16 year old, is something I previously had little understanding of. The changes I made were completely optional, and nothing was ever forced, but with Gilly's knowledge, i found myself choosing to make healthier decisions as i took control of my health. Gilly also completely changed my attitude to health - as someone who calorie counted for a year and had no results, I felt as if my health was put of control, but with Gilly, taking small, educated steps, which were scientifically backed up, I saw changes within a couple of weeks, which still remain now 6 months later! I learned that health isnt cutting put the foods you like completely, but reducing less healthy choices and increasing the healtgier ones. I have been working with Gilly for three months now. I have always been very interested in health and fitness and exercise daily. What I really wanted from the program was a bit of body recomposition and better performance at the gym. If you have read any "nutrition advice" before, the general agreement is that you can't lose fat and perform better because you need to be in a calorie deficit, and you cannot build muscle while in a deficit and so on. Not knowing anything about nutrition, when Gilly told me what I wanted was possible, I was a bit skeptical but thought what I really wanted was to lose some body fat and if she's right about performance, that's an added bonus. Three months on, I realise how wrong I was. The amount of knowledge and experience Gilly has on nutrition for sports and exercise is unbelievable. It also helps that she does crossfit too so she knows exactly what sort of exercises and exersion levels I deal with. In the last three months I have lost 8kg of weight, my body looks so much more toned and I no longer fit into any of my cloths! Now if you are a fitness enthusiasts like me, you know what that means: I have lost body fat, but put on so much muscle mass that my cloths do not fit me anymore. That is the holy grail of fitness! My performance at the gym has been so much better and I recover so much quicker. But that is just a small part of it. I feel so much better and more energetic during the day, I feel healthier and never hungry and not only do I not crave junk food, I actually crave healthy food, even when I go out for a meal. On top of all of that, you get to learn so much about nutrition.
I have just signed up for an extra three months and I am really looking forward to seeing where this will take me.
I would definitely recommend working with Gilly, whatever your goals are.

I went to Gilly to help with digestive issues i'd been having over the last 2 years. Gilly quickly put together a plan of action and helped me understand why my body was reacting in certain ways. Over the course of 12 weeks, my symptoms dissipated, I felt healthier, had more energy and developed a clear set of guidelines for how i approach food. When I began my 3 month journey with Gilly, I imagined or hoped for a bit of support to re focus on my own health for a while and eventually, some weight loss. What I didn't expect was a total overhaul of my lifestyle (my choice) and numerous health improvements physically and mentally including, confidence , energy, hormonal balance, heart rate, blood pressure, vitality , less anxiety, skin appearance, body shape, strength. Gilly is extremely knowledgeable, many times my mind was blown! I've always enjoyed cooking and know many ingredients/recipes but still, I have learnt so much about nutrition. Gilly makes it so simple to follow , no measuring scales used and I've even stopped weighing myself! Gilly was recommended to me by a friend and I’m so glad that I worked with her. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis earlier this year. Gilly helped me navigate food, educated me on what may or may not suit me. This literally changed my life. My condition was having a very negative impact on my life, with Gilly’s help I’ve turned that around and not only living with the condition but very successfully too. I understand far more about food and it’s affect on the body, taking the initial reason for me approaching Gilly out of the equation- I still learnt so much about good and bad fats, carbs , sugar etc.

During lockdown I had lost motivation and needed that kick up the backside to help with my training and nutrition. I had found myself eating anything and everything in the fridge, and making excuses not to exercise. All that changed when I had a chance conversation with an old school friend… thankfully that friend was Gilly! She was the inspiration and the motivation I needed, and I suddenly found myself being more considerate to me! Reminding me that what I was eating was my choice… not the fridge monster, and reminding me that the more I move, the better I feel was that kick I needed. Wow..where to start!! Never dreamt I needed a nutritionalist until I met Gilly. We met through a fitness friend and after a 20 minute introductory session I really wanted to know more. I was struggling with gut health and frequent spells of thrush. Gilly gave me a plan and it started the amazing journey that I have been on for just over a year now. I have never felt better or enjoyed my food so much. I was a tough customer at first and a little reluctant to try things I thought I didn’t like. Gilly’s approach, support and guidance helped me to try new things and these are now some of my favourite things now such as hazelnut milk, almond milk and peanut butter 🤣🤣

During the year I have tried different plans, learnt soooo much, tried so many different things, changed my body shape, gained a healthy and balanced mindset when it comes to my food. What I love is that this is not a fad or a diet it is knowledge and understanding that will all help me now and in the future.

Gilly has opened my eyes to healthier eating. I thought I knew the basics and some of the details; but clearly not!

The importance of eating the right food groups, in the right portions, at the right time is the key to healthier eating; along with a healthier lifestyle, of course. It's not a diet to lose weight, though that does happen because the food eaten is so much better for us - and in the right portions and at the right times.

Gilly, keeps a close watch over our daily progress. Knowing that, helps to keep me motivated and accountable to her to keep going (even if, I do slip up once or twice). But she's not going to scold you if you do falter: she motivates you further, encourages you and, importantly, helps you.

This is a lifestyle and eating behavioural change programme, not a quick fix diet that ends as abruptly as it starts (and heaven knows how many of them I've been on in my life). The meals are tasty and satisfying...so it's a pleasure to eat and not a guilt trip!

In four short weeks Gilly has revolutionised my approach to food with a combination of really interesting and educational videos and articles plus menu plans and recipe ideas. Tracking both food/water intake and lifestyle choices on a daily basis has been really enlightening and motivating. I have worked with Gilly for the last 12 weeks and have learnt so much about nutrition and the benefits of having balanced meals. Gilly has a really nice way of drip feeding information so you are not overwhelmed, and she takes the time to feed back on a daily basis where small improvements can be made, so you learn slowly and start thinking consciously. She has got me drinking more water (didn’t think anyone could do that) and I have seen great improvements in my skin because of this, and from having more nutritious meals. Hands down the best nutritionist around!! 10/10 I have worked with Gilly for just under four weeks and been truly amazed by how enjoyable it's been. Gilly takes a person centred approach and wanted to get to know me, my goals, habits and issues I gave when it comes to food. Following this provided me with an personalised meal plan which help fuel my athletic endeavours. For the first time in years I have not had to weigh food, count calories or monitor my macro split and I now have a much better approach to when it comes to eating. Working with Gilly was a lovely experience, when I went to see her I wanted advice on controlling diabetes, as I had lost 5st, was on metformin but was feeling light headed and wanted to stop taking the medication, as I was now in pre diabetic! I lost my weight with SlimmingWorld. Working with Gilly gave me, more confidence in myself as she gives you lots of advice and is a lovely person. The best things I have taken on board are, portion size control, The three benefits I have enjoyed from working with Gilly are, is trying a variety of different foods I hadn’t tried before and are now in our diet, taking regular exercise and her advice on getting better sleep. The main purpose of working with Gill was to try and better understand my nutrition, the good and bad parts, and that carbs & fats are your friend when consumed correctly. I've done weight watchers, dabbled with slimming world and counted calories. The results themselves were not geared for weight loss, but more to be consistent and mindful of what is being eaten The best part, as simple as it was, is understanding the simple method of portion control. 3 things that made working with Gill beneficial were: Greater understanding of the need for fats, carbs and protein in each meal. The knowledge has been learned over many years, and not just a quick course, fad diet or read in a book to wing it. Accountability is definitely important, Gill isn't there to be nice just because it's a paid service, she is there to help, guide and also point out areas of improvement. 3 weeks in. Almost one stone gone. Certain symptoms gone and my nutrition knowledge increased massively. I thought I knew quite a lot about nutrition. ....not so. Gilly has helped develop my knowledge and bust the myths. Who knew I should eat nuts with my apple?! Nutrition is the foundation for our overall health and mental/physical wellbeing. There are several other areas of health (learning, connection, daily activity, structured exercise, sleep and stress/anxiety management) which I also consider to be part of the puzzle. Nutrition, literally, feeds into each of these areas.

Nutrition is a critical for health and development. Better nutrition is related to improved infant, child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, safer pregnancy and childbirth, lower risk of non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease), and longevity (WHO, 2021).

Helping clients and seeing them smile. I have had success with clients in many different areas including reducing/coming off medication, placing diabetes into remission, weight management, improved digestive disorders, and more manageable symptoms of menopause.

I had numerous requests over the first Covid lockdown as people felt completely out of control. I took 38 clients during the first week of my business opening!

I am approachable, real, and have the ability to explain 'the science' in an understandable way. I am here to educate and help people, showing empathy and holding their hand along the way.

In short, I remove the pressure and increase confidence.
