Lisa was very involved in training both during the sessions and in between. She encouraged confidence in us taking on the training of our new puppy. Initial contact was by phone where we made an appt for a first meeting of all who would be involved with him. Also how to introduce the puppy to other family dogs which is ongoing. All in all a good experience with lots of tips on crate training, common instructions and release, playtime etc. Would highly recommend. More...

It was great to work with Lisa on a one to one basis We could focus just on Billie's problems and ours!!
All behavioural problems were covered and solutions given which we were able to work on between visits
The outcome was a much better behaved dog who is a joy to be with .
We will continue with all instructions to keep Billie up to speed.

Lisa at Beta Dogs was recommended to us by a family member and it’s by far the best decision we have made for our pup Luna. The level of detail, communication and support that we received from Lisa over the 6 week training programme is outstanding and it’s been amazing to see the changes that we so desperately needed. We have a long way to go, but Lisa has equipped us well so we’re feeling prepared with what we need to do going forwards. Our Luna has had quite a complicated life, leading her to demonstrate attention seeking behaviours with signs of aggression and anxiety to name a few. But after just 6 weeks, following Lisa’s instruction we can’t quite believe Lunas calmness and responsiveness to our commands, inside the house as well as out on the lead or training line. The communication between us and Lisa has been amazing, sending videos of how we are getting on and feedback given straight away on where we can improve. The sessions in the park were great, and taking out dogs on walks has become a much better experience since the Betadogs/Lisa’s intervention.. we’ve some way to go but feel fully loaded with best practice.. would definitely recommend Lisa to anyone needing help with their errant pouches! When we acquired a spaniel puppy on our retirement, we wanted to make sure we got everything right, so we searched for a puppy trainer.
We decided to use Lisa from Beta Dogs after reading her reviews on Bark and I am so very pleased that we did!
Lisa took time to listen to our needs and what we wanted to achieve. She was easy to work with, responding to worries and concerns very promptly and was always very reassuring and giving brilliant advice and practical support as we navigated the ups and downs of dealing with puppy behaviour.
Thanks to Lisa, we are well on the way to our "perfect" pup. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lisa to anyone who wants a loving and fulfilling relationship with their dog.

"I an older woman living on her own and wisely decided to get a puppy for the sheer joy of its companionship…fast forward to ‘reality’ and the demands of a 2 month old puppy! ! I could feel how I was beginning to feel over-whelmed and our of my ‘energetic depth’. The next wise decision was to contact BetaDogs and receive the phenomenal support and guidance of Lisa. We contacted Beta Dogs to help train our Labrador Retriever, Bodhi. Our goals were to improve walking on the lead and recall, both of which were achieved thanks to Lisa and James. I engaged Beta Dogs to help with the training of my Labrador puppy Freddy. The home visit was brilliant and he was sitting, lying down and rolling over in minutes being trained by James. I had several sessions with Lisa where we did lead walking and recall in the park. I felt very confident doing the ‘homework’ between sessions and Freddy is a dream to take anywhere. I sent videos in between visits and Lisa videoed or training. Freddy goes to church, stays in hotels and visits with friends. The £250 fee was money well spent to have such a happy and lovable puppy.
