What’s your interior design process?
Our process starts with a consultation call where we aim to get to know you and your interior project, following this we will ask you to complete a questionnaire which will inform us about your likes and dislikes. Then the team will get to work designing your new space, which will be presented to you, either in person, or over a video call. Once approved, we will arrange the necessary contractors to complete the job and fill the space with carefully selected furniture, creating your dream interior.

The key thing for Ben the Hoose, is that we put relationships, positivity and collaboration at the centre of all our projects – our client’s vision is our own - and we want to help you bring your spaces to life by leading and delivering on all your design needs, ensuring your vision manifests before your very eyes.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Creative Director, Abigail Fleming is a Cumbrian native who moved to London in 2004 to complete my degree in Fashion Design and Marketing at Central Saint Martins College, part of the University of the Arts, London. With 15 years experience in the fashion industry behind her, she has relocated back to Cumbria with her family and is excited to be delivering in the interior design sector, bringing her love of colour and texture to this discipline. We are motivated to create beautiful spaces for our clients and we pride ourselves on strong understanding of colour, mood and texture which underpins our practice and aesthetic.

‘Ben the Hoose’ is an old Scots expression that equates to ‘the best room in the house’. It grounds the business in the comfort and importance of beautiful, safe, homely spaces and fits neatly with the family business, local ethos of the company.

BtH Interiors is a local, family firm rooted in our Cumbrian home. We wrap our customer’s objectives into all activities, at all times maintaining our commitment to the north of England, sustainable materials, craft products and individuality.

All design services can be provided online, however if the client wishes for Ben the Hoose Interiors to install a new design, the property must be within 50 miles.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As a professional service the entire process is deliverable online, if the client requires it to be.
Colour Advice and Concept Board
The purpose of a this service is to capture the feeling and mood we want to create in your new space. Buzz words will set the tone and an initial colour palette will be drawn from the concept board.
Space Planning Including CAD Floor Plans
Computer aided design (CAD) floor plan of your space, indicating how to place furniture items within the room.
A Design Pack
A design pack will include all the information required to create a new interior in your home. This will include, paint colours, wallpapers choices, room layout and floor plans, inspirational images moodboard, and a client specification list for purchasing products.
Full Design Service
A full design service will include a concept board, layout advice, a design pack, sourcing and procurement of products and installation services, including project management of the entire process.
The space will be professionally styled, ready for the big reveal.
Sourcing and Procurement
This service is ideal for landlords who operate a holiday let business. We will source, procure and manage the install of a property, ready for rental.
Alternatively, if you are simply looking for advice on products or don't have the time/knowledge to source what you want, this is the service for you.
Computer Generated Imagery
Do you have brave ideas but feel nervous about how it might look? Computer generated imagery (CGI) is for you. This service will help you realise the potential in your space, showing you an array of paint colour options for your new space. We will create your room in CGI and help you visualise what your space could look like.
