Q&As

Societally, being able to be part of an age that is embracing mental wellness as a process to be striving for and moving away from a society that views mental illness as a stigma.
Individually, being able to be with a client when they are expressing their greatest sufferances and witnessing and helping them make their transformative journey of forward movement in life.

I used to be a secondary school teacher and faced several struggles with stress and witnessed how it affected my ability to work and be present in my personal life. I turned towards CBT which was offered on a group seminar basis through the NHS Steps to Wellbeing scheme. Whilst it was helpful, I did notice that the service was lacking slightly (perhaps through no fault of their own because of the stress and pressure the NHS are under!) I therefore looked at other types of therapy which turned into applying for a training course in hypnotherapy and a couple of years later, towards a certificate and starting my own practice.

I'm here to help you feel seen, heard and validated. I appreciate that every human has unique qualities and how everyone experiences anxiety, depression, stress, etc. differently can lead one to feel isolated despite even the presence of a support network where there may be fears of being judged. Rest assured, I offer a safe, warm and non-judgemental space where you can say anything and be accepted.

Despite its misplaced promises, hypnosis is not a miraculous solution on its own, but it can be a valuable tool when integrated with psychotherapeutic approaches. The key to effective hypnotherapy lies in combining it with a deep understanding of psychology, and repetitive and one-dimensional suggestions tend to be insufficient. People are unique, and their minds require personalized approaches in therapy.

As of right now, I only provide services remotely.

Online therapy has helped promote social distancing, however, in the future I do plan on integrating face-to-face working conditions.
