Needed 3 party walls underpinning due to damage from the previous owner and needed floor installed to stop damp. Never undertook a building project before and needed a Structual engineer.
I needed to do the job right so the council could officially sign it off (which they have done).
I had options to go with bigger companies but went with Graeme not because of the fee but because he is very easy to communicate with (which is so important when undertaking a project like this). He’s very knowledgable, his drawings are excellent and were delivered on time.
The service was top class and would highly recommend him.

I enjoy the variety of challenges that each project provides. Every project is different and there are different engineering challenges to consider with each structural alteration or survey.
Being able to turn projects around relatively quickly also provides high job satisfaction.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Owning a business has been a desire of mine for several years.
I am fortunate to have worked for some highly knowledgeable and inspirational managers in my career. I have also gained a good breadth of experience working on a variety of projects for different sized organisations.
Achieving chartership gave me the confidence to finally start up on my own. The success of my business in its first year has far exceeded what I anticipated and justifies my decision to pursue this venture.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
We can provide designs for structural alterations if architectural layouts and details are available. We may ask for localised images of the property to supplement the layouts for any complex structural items, for example.
Our drawings will identify the design assumptions based on this approach and note any concerns to be confirmed on site by the building contractor.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We work remotely where possible i.e. where architectural layouts are available for structural alterations to a property.
Where this is not possible, e.g. structural inspection surveys, we maintain social distancing during the survey of our clients' properties and will wear a face mask upon request.
