Q&As

The privalidge of meeting many people and sharing part of their life journey. The best thing is when someone arrives in my counselling room, feeling maybe a bit broken, struggling with life and sometimes fearful of what lay ahead. And then in time they leave feeling they are the person that they were ment to be. Not necessarily fixed, but better able to look life in the face and live it to it's best.

I have counselled in agencies for several years and loved my time working with great people. However running my own practice means I have my own therapy room which allows me to run a more flexible diary.

The therapeutic relationship is like no other. When seeking a counsellor you need to feel confident that you will be heard and understood. Any issues/experiences you bring are offered compassion and recognised as a symptom of emotional distress and not judged.
I offer a free 45 min consultation to give you the chance to get to know me and feel relaxed enough to explore any issues with me.

I have being offering my counselling services remotely during Covid. This may be via a social media platform or over the telephone. I am going to be open to both face to face counselling and remote counselling in the months ahead as more normality graually arrives.

Throughout the lockdowns I have worked totally remotely. However just prior to the first lockdown and for a short period between (following goverment guidelines) I had face to face meetings with very few clients. To keep myself and clients safe I would only see a maximum of two people a week face to face. This would give the therapy room plenty of air in-between appointments and the 3 day quarenteen. There is only the one door that leads in so I would open and close it for both clients to avoid cross contamination. Our seeting is two meters apart and I have goverment approved hand sanitiser on the side table.
I counselling more than anywhere you need to feel safe, the last thing you need to be worrying about is a Covid risk in the room. I would therefore encourage anyone who is at all uncertain to work remotely. If you are unsure of technology do not worry I will guide you.
