Lulu & Isla are home, knackered & settled after a trial weekend. Sounds like they had a wonderful time in an idyllic environment and got the one to one care that they are used to. We are so thankful to Jill & Martin for taking great care of our pooches. Such a relief to have found an alternative to kennels (which the dogs hated). Can’t begin to explain just how happy we are with Barking Mad Banbury. Andrea & David have been so helpful, kind and reassuring when we approached them to help find a suitable host for our dogs, Bella & Tanwen. As a vet nurse myself I was extremely anxious & over protective of leaving my furry babies with someone else but I needn’t have worried at all! My girls have just been returned to me in excellent condition and obviously very well cared for and loved whilst we were away on our holiday. One of doggies can be a bit of a handful (she’s a Dalmatian, need I say more!) and I was worried that a host may not be able or even willing to cope with the demands a Dally can bring! But it’s very clear they’ve been exercised and played with so very well and it’s made me an extremely happy owner. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this service again and can’t recommend Andrea & David enough. They perfectly matched our girls to two wonderful hosts who have looked after my precious dogs as their own. What more could any dog owner ask for? The best bit of all is knowing that my gorgeous girls have also done their bit helping a child learn to love dogs and a young puppy get socialised! (Proud mum moment!) The postcards we get on their return are the icing on the cake as it really is those little personal touches that make the whole thing seem like it’s family that they stay with. Lin provides an amazing service. We have used barking mad twice this year for our spaniel. The service is exceptional Lin collects your dog to take him to the host, she sends regular updates to put your mind at rest and then on your return she brings your dog back. We have used kennels in the past but we would choose Barking mad time after time!Thank you Lin! More...

We have always used Barking Mad, Cotswolds, for our cocker spaniel, Dexter, whenever we go on holiday and we've always been completely delighted with it. Recently, we have needed dog home boarding for Dexter whilst we've been staying in the Newcastle area visiting our son. I didn't know what to do at first and then realised that there would be a branch of Barking Mad in Newcastle too. I spoke to Carrie, the Newcastle Manager, who was extremely helpful and booked Dexter in with a lovely couple. Dexter has stayed there on two occasions now and been extremely happy. What's great is that all Dexter's details are on the central database so Carrie had all his information, which was very reassuring. I would like to say a massive thank you to barking mad & the hosts for taking the most amazing care of my Tilly. For me it was the 1st time I had ever left my baby. ... I was really worried taking the plunge, Hayley came to the house to see Tilly before hand, she really took the time to write down everything I wanted for Tilly, this really put me at ease. My Tilly was matched up with totally the perfect family, I was given photos on her return and it just looked totally like she was at home doing all the same things just with different people. I also received a postcard telling me all about her adventures it literally made me cry she had clearly had the perfect doggy holiday. I highly recommend barking mad.... I genuinely feel like barking mad is now Tilly’s 2nd family...... I will definitely use the service again without any doubt..... thanks too all involved in Tilly’s care xx More...

Barking mad are brilliant! I am a dog owner that feels like I have a child, and Melissa did an excellent job of making me feel at complete ease about leaving my adorable pooch, who often suffers from separation anxiety! Melissa spends a lot of time getting to know both dog and owner in order to make the perfect match to a host, and that's exactly what she did. It's a lovely added touch to receive a photo and a message to know that they are settled too. The host profiles really help to make the owner feel as though they know who their pooch is going too. Carrie is also very lovely, and was very patient when we were running behind the scheduled pick up time. Our pooch returned a very happy one! Barking Mad are also excellent at making sure their hosts are suitable. My nan was a host for them and loved every minute of it. Melissa was always on hand if needed, but my nan was given all the necessary information in order to treat each and every dog like the prince/princess you want them to be treated as. I would thoroughly recommend both using Barking Mad, and working with them if you love the company of a dog but don't have your own. More...

Our dog Marlee has just returned from a weeks holiday with host Pat whilst we was on away. The fact that Marls has never been away from us any longer then a couple of days I did wonder how he would be. . but rest assured he was just fine. From day 1 Tania gave us regular updates as well as a video/pictures and my mind was certainly at ease being away. Himself and Pat both had a lovely week together. Tania and her team always go the extra mile and I can’t thank them all enough. The extras they do like the postcode when we got home explains what little man had been up to... and by the sounds of it - it was just like he was at home. (Sleeping on the hosts bed!) We have decided that Joe is our very own "Fairy Dog Father!" Everyone that knows us would know how much of a princess / baby Pepsi is to us and that I would need to be 100% certain of what would happen to her when she was not with us. I must admit I was a bit dubious to start with when I contacted Joe (mainly because Pepsi is with us 24/7 and does not really take well to change) Joe came round to see us with Pepsi and asked so many things about her that if you did not have a dog it would not matter to you. He then matched her to her host family, which she had a trial with over the weekend - admittedly she was slightly nervous and went on hunger strike but I am sure that when she goes away properly for a week in August she will give in and eat! You are kept informed all the way through the process, Joe sent us some photos when she had arrived and settled in and then some photos of her cuddled on the sofa with her host mum. I am even more against boarding Kennels now we have found Barking Mad. Joe you should be incredibly proud of what you are doing! More...

Our dog ‘Meg’ has been looked after by Barking Mad for several years now, her prime carer is Joyce who Meg loves very much. As soon as Ian turns up to collect Meg she cannot wait to get out the door as she knows she’s going ‘home’ to Joyce. This gives us enormous peace of mind just knowing how happy they both are together. On her recent short stay Meg was picked up by Ian and brought to the wedding venue of my son, of course she played to the crowd, thoroughly enjoyed all the photographs being taken of her and Ian looked after her so well. We have used Lin at Barking Mad for the last 2 years - Gordon has been for long weekends and annual holidays and even just for an overnight stay - he is always really excited to go, and we know that he is receiving the best care and attention when we are away. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. It’s great that Lin collects Gordon and brings him back afterwards with lovely stories and postcards of what he has been upto. When we registered and we met Melissa ,we knew we could have complete confidence in her selection of host family. She is such a genuinely caring,lovely person with the dogs needs coming first. Our dog had her first Barking Mad holiday last weekend. Carrie collected her, who was also just as lovely, she sent us a message ,with photos,just after our dog arrived with the family. They made us laugh at how much fun she was having already. Our dog came back so relaxed and happy from her holiday. She tried to follow Carrie out of the door !
