I offer confidential counselling for clients who are experiencing emotional and/or life difficulties.
Usually, I see clients face-to-face. After the first session, clients decide if they would like to continue once-weekly for a 50 minute session.

Initially I asked for counselling due to relationship issues - but when I had overcome these somewhat, another issue that had lasted a lot longer became a more prominent discussion in my sessions with Barbara.
I had been bullied for years with no support from Law enforcement or anyone other than my friends and family. I didn't feel safe, I felt low a lot of the time and constantly on edge that something bad was going to happen.
I constantly felt like a victim and I hated this feeling as it made me feel weak and vulnerable. Barbara gave me many tools to deal with this anxiety and stress and helped me to deal with an attack whereby I had symptoms of PTSD which in turn, finding this out, upset me a great deal.
I was gutted to end my sessions with Barbara but for now, I can use her tools, help & advice in my life to move forward. If in future, I need counselling again, I won't be looking elsewhere - Barbara will be my first choice as I have her contact information and I felt she really did help me a lot through a very tough time.
Well worth the money and a very lovely lady.

What do you love most about your job?
I'm pleased clients come for help and support. It is a pleasure to help them work through problems. The reward is when clients feel better and stronger and can benefit from their counselling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My professional training and my own personal therapy.

I have many years experience and I have my client's best interests at heart, which means I try to help them find the best way for themselves.

If we are unable to meet face-to-face for any reason, I offer counselling and support by telephone, email and Zoom.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have a Covid secure checklist for when we meet face-to-face. This includes distancing, sanitiser, wearing of masks, room is ventilated between sessions.
I also offer telephone and online sessions.
Face-to-face. Email. Telephone.
In addition to face-to-face, I occasionally offer home visits, depending on the circumstances.
However, in these instances, email and telephone counselling can be a useful first step.
