Absolutely amazed with the cake I have received from Susannah today. I contacted her last minute after been let down by another lady and she just whipped up the most amazing cake for me. I told her I wanted a to kill a mockingbird cake for my sisters birthday and she said don’t worry leave it to me I will make it great for her. But it was only when I saw it did I realise how talented she is and how great a job she did. All my family were so impressed with the cake especially my sister who got the best surprise ever when she walked in from work to be greeted by this cake! Plus it tasted as amazing as it looks. Made some wonderful cakes for my daughter-in-law's baby shower. The main cake was absolutely amazing. Everybody there was stunned by it. The cup cakes were spot on too. All tasted delicious. Living in Scotland the arrangements were all made by messenger but that didn't stop my order being perfect. Customer service is second to none. Would recommend to everyone. What do you love most about your job?
I love my customers!
The ideas we come up with together are truly unique and the end result is a bespoke , very personal product
I love baking and creating new designs and flavours.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I first started cake decorating when I was 8 years old, after being inspired by my Godmother who was a wonderful cook and baker.
She used to make me great novelty cakes for my own birthdays.
I then went on to be a catering manager for 25 years and just doing celebration cakes for friends and family. I was approached by a prestigious venue to be a nominated supplier after doing a friends wedding cake and it all started properly for me from there.
I opened a successful tearoom in Preston, but the larger cakes started to take over, so I sold that side of the business and now solely concentrate on those. I only concentrate on a select few cakes that I know I can give 110% to from my lovely cake room which was built in 2017 ❤️
