Suspect this company have been writing their own 'reviews' up until the end of April this year.

I enlisted the services of Back2New Roofing and Building Services for a new flat roof installation, but what unfolded was a string of disappointments and unresolved issues.

Shortly after the completion of the new roof, a leak surfaced, leading to the assumption that the problem lay with the pitched roof. Despite my reservations, I followed their advice to replace part of the pitched roof, incurring unnecessary costs. Subsequently, it was discovered that the leak originated from the flat roof, an oversight that should have been promptly identified and addressed.

The attempts to resolve the now four leaks between February and March 2024 were riddled with unfulfilled promises. Despite repeated assurances of resolving the issues, further complications arose, and subsequent leaks persisted. To compound matters, the failure to clear debris and leftover materials, despite multiple requests, added to the frustration.

The quality of workmanship exhibited by Back2New Roofing & Building Services was consistently poor - attached pictures of the ridges they fitted illustrate this, but it extends beyond just that. The overall execution of the roof installation and subsequent repairs fell short of acceptable standards, as evidenced by the accompanying pictures. From inadequate patching attempts to improper sealing, the workmanship demonstrated a lack of attention to detail and competence.

It is regrettable because the individuals tasked with fitting and subsequently repairing the roof were genuinely pleasant and responsive. They made efforts to address reported leaks promptly, although not consistently. However, there comes a point where niceties must be set aside in favor of completing the job competently.

Furthermore, the boss John asked for this review to be taken down on the promise of fixing the issue. After making repeated promises, he started to evade my calls, only picking up when I called from another number, after which he would hang up upon realizing it was me.

Overall, my experience with Back2New Roofing & Building Services has been deeply disappointing. I would strongly advise against using their services, as their incompetence, lack of professionalism, and disregard for customer concerns have left me deeply dissatisfied and out of pocket. More...

Had a bad experience with this company and can’t recommend them to anyone else.

Pricing issues:
- Price for the works doubled, literally overnight, after the subcontractor had already taken the existing roof off.
- Replacement guttering was included in pricing and not provided.

Damage was caused:
- Large holes were torn in the stairway ceiling and repaired to a much poorer standard.
- Extractor fan in the bathroom was broken by the contractor who said they would deal with this and then changed their mind.

Complaints from the neighbours:
- That the subcontractors were blasting music with x-rated lyrics as well as shouting and swearing that could be heard 6 streets away
- Left a lot of debris all over the road.

Scaffolding:
- Left up for two weeks after the works were complete whilst I received confusing messages from subcontractor about leaving it up for our neighbour even though we were clear that we didn't want that. More...

Back to new, there extremely professional. As I have my own Building company and I’ve used back to new a few times due to roofers being on holiday etc. there very reasonable and they communicate very well, i will be using again.
