I hurt my back whilst doing some DIY at home and was suffering from the pain. As I own my own building firm, if I don't work I don't get paid so I called Paul Clusker at the Backcare and Acupuncture Clinic. After the thorough initial consultation, Paul got to work on my back using both osteopathy and acupuncture. He was very friendly and his relaxed manner put me at ease instantly. I couldn't believe how quickly the pain went away and how simple it was to resolve. My back felt loads better after just 1 session, and I was amazed at how quickly he found the source of my pain. I have recommended this place to my friends and family who have also suffered from back pain and they have also said what great service they have received. I visited Paul a few times about 8 years ago when I could hardly walk straight due to a very painful shoulder/back problem. He used manipulation and also occasionally acupuncture. It felt great when he worked up and down my spine, its amazing how much tension can be present without you realising it. More...

I spent several years suffering from back and neck pain and also migraines which were extremely debilitating. I made many visits to my GP for treatment and tried numerous conventional types of medication, but none were successful. I was then informed that many headaches originate from stiffness and tension in the neck and that osteopathic treatment and acupuncture can often bring relief. On this suggestion I visited the Backcare and Acupuncture Clinic for an initial consultation. This involved taking my history, examining the affected area and delivery of the first treatment. Practice Manager Paul Clusker impressed me a great deal. He was very thorough and listened to what I had to say. After my initial consultation I visited Paul on a fortnightly basis for a couple of months. After this time my back and neck pain reduced considerably and my migraines were far less frequent and much less severe. I now visit Paul every few months to keep on top of my condition as my back pain and migraines have almost disappeared. I only wish I had tried osteopathy and acupuncture sooner! I would highly recommend the Backcare and Acupuncture Clinic to anyone suffering with similar conditions to myself, but also a variety of many other symptoms can be treated. What do you love most about your job?
Being part of the solution in a joint venture of competent assessment and treatment and diligent homework on the patient's part. Change comes out of this joint venture and it is still as professionally satisfying as the first day in practice. It is a privilege to be part of the this healing process
