To be honest I don't think there's better, or fresher food anywhere in the city centre (especially for lunch). The omelette wrap is great - also try the ginger cake (hot not cold!).

Authentic Bombay Street food made fresh daily in Glasgow - Amazing. Working my way though a fantastic menu & enjoying the journey. Staff really helpful & friendly guiding you through what's in everything. All gluten free with choices if having it with Rice, Roti or on a Mortons Roll - a roll n curry with salad - what's not to love. South Indian food full of flavour on our door step to sit in or take away 10/10. More...

We had an amazing meal for 5 at this restaurant. We did not order a thing; we just asked them to feed us and they did an exceptional job at doing just that. It could not have been better! Thank you so much for making our night with family extra special, we really appreciate your efforts on our behalf. More...

After a slightly disappointing experience (bad timing) we got in touch with babu, and they more than lived up to their brilliant reputation! Our messages were taken very seriously, and we were offered a very generous and absolutely amazing meal to balance things out. We'll definitely be back, thanks a million! The chai was totally worth my non- vegan cheat :) More...

My wife and I were visiting from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. I had a Neice, her Husband, and a Grand Niece drive down from Dundee to see us the night before we flew out. I said Id take them out for a curry. I picked the place from the interntet based solely upon the proximity to our hotel, and the fact it was BYO ( I had two bottles of wine I could not take with me).

When we walked in the smells were just outstanding. Small and cozy and just wonderful. before my familey arrived, I just asked them to bring us a good variety of Appetizers, and Main Courses, Chef decision, and enough for our size of party.

Wow, waht a meal!! I travelled the world in the Candaian Navy over 35 Years. And I love Curries. "This" was the best.

Thank you for such a wonderful evening.

What a wee gem of a place. I'm not going to tell you that it's the best curry you'll ever have, but what it is, is unpretentious, delicious, and different. From serving dahl and curry with a spectacularly Glaswegian Morton's morning roll, to the wee touches like the Thums Up cola, and freshly made lassi... Everything seems designed to make you smile. This place is FUN - and the hospitality industry needs more of that. More...

What a fab little place! I turned up for a late breakfast and had a bowl of dhal with a deep fried bun (Scottish delicacy, I'm told) both where very tasty. I wish I had more time, and more room to try other dishes as they all looked good. For the price, service which was pleasant prompt and courteous, and teh quality of the food I'm happy to give Babu 5 stars. Go find out more. More...

Terrific food at a reasonable price. Came here for an Indian food fix and was not am disappointed. The menu does not contain the typical Indian fare that you get in the states, which was a welcome change. We started off with the Spicy Chicken Kebab ( £7) served with red chilli mayo & salad. It is a minced chicken that had a nice heat on the end. Maybe able to share with two people, but not more. For our main we had a delicious Chicken Chapatti (£8.50) which is a Chapatti lightly fried and stuffed with a curry of your choice, then topped with red onion, chilli vinegar dressing & chaat masala.  Very tasty, but a bit messy. Make sure the bottom of the tin wrap is secure, before consuming. I failed to do this and made a bit of a mess.  Finished it off with a pistachio and cardamom, chocolate brownie accompanied by a mango kulfi pop.  Delicious. Their mango lassi. The staff here is very nice and helpful. Seating is a bit tight and on plastic benches, which give it that street feel, but maybe a bit uncomfortable for some. Maximum at a table is three people and there are about four tables inside. However, if you are looking for down and dirty good eating, this place will fit the bill. Definitely recommend. More...

8:00 on a Thursday night in Glasgow.  Don't want fish and chips, don't want a kebab, don't want bad Scottish pizza (been burned before by seemingly good pizza, only to find that everything is all wrong wrong wrong).  The solution?  Track down some Indian food, ASAP.  Babu Bombay Street Kitchen is not only a 10 minute walk from where I'm staying, it also looks fantastic.Down some stairs off of West Regent, everything is so colorful inside.  I take a seat on a little red plastic stool and get a mango lassi.  Thick, flavorful, and gingery.  It's basically dessert.  Glad I tried it!  Next time I think I'd go with some Indian sodas.Next came my beetroot patties.  DAMN.  These were so good!  Very slightly sweet, a little spicy.  Love the green chilli and corriandor chutney it's served over.  I was a bit hesitant to try these but I was super intrigued.  Do not hesitate to get these.  Run, run towards the light.  Freaking delicious and filling.  Awesome and balanced. At this point, I was feeling kinda full.  But, I had a garlic chili chicken with rice on the way...  So much flavor in that chicken.  It had a nice bite, but it's not overwhelmingly spicy. Love the potatoes and the tang of the onions.  Also, this was no small portion.  Had to request a container to go because I'm a fool whose eyes are bigger than his stomach.I've found my new go to spot in Glasgow.  The waitress was wonderful and helpful, the food was excellent, and there was some great Motown and the Talking Heads being played in there.  Fantastic meal!
