Headshot Photographers

Michael was incredibly welcoming and put me at ease immediately. He clearly knows how to work with people and the camera and gave some excellent instruction. I'd highly recommend for photography work. We did headshots for work and he was quick and efficient - got some great shots in his lovely studio and beautiful garden. Thanks! More...

Q&As

Understanding people's expressions and movements is part of the way we resonate with individuals every day. From our partners to friends, to colleagues and strangers.
We all observe each other and have thoughts about how we find them, see them and appreciate them. Catching that in a portrait is a pleasure and a privilege.

A camera whether it be a smartphone or professional equipment is a tool that can literally alter people's perceptions of themselves. Providing a client with a service whether the end product be a print in a frame, a photographic workshop, or a portrait
for their business or family life is always inspiring.
When you see the reaction that this device, this camera can produce we have to remember that 60% we see is retained. More than any other sense.

A photographer is a chronicler of life, if you want someone to record you at that moment of time you need more than someone, however able, who is just pressing a button. Being in front of a camera is difficult for all of us, letting the client have some control over the situation and being encouraged and helped by the photographer is where success lies for both parties.

The client will be asked if they wish me to wear a mask. Hand and surface sanitation is carried out beforehand, and a request that they and I are Covid free at the time of the session.

Services

The connection that takes place between a sitter and a photographer is a unique moment. Successful portraits reveal trust between the two parties and something that draws the eye to the picture taken. That may be to show the sitter as the brief describes. As a competent and trustworthy individual, an approachable personality, an indication of a warm character or as a capable professional.

Discussion around these ideals is had first before the camera is used. The minutes used to get to know what the individual wants to show are as valuable as the 100ths of a second the chosen photograph takes to be recorded.
99% preparation and 1% inspiration is the rule here.
