Beautiful, thoughtful, magical photos that are the perfect memento of a wonderful day.I found Steve ( Art by Design) at a wedding fair and was blown away by his big, panoramic wedding photography. We hired him for our wedding after our first meeting, where he really impressed us with his professionalism and creative thinking.Having a winter wedding, well any wedding in the UK, the weather is always a worry, but Steve was so relaxed about it all, he instilled us with a sense of confidence that it would all be ok on the day itself.Before the day he sent a very comprehensive questionnaire that actually helped me plan the day itself.On the day, he couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating and as you will read from other reviews, at times he took charge but most of the time he was invisible, taking beautiful, candid shots of us and our friends and family that I will treasure for a lifetime.I was terribly worried and self conscious beforehand but he put me at ease and that is priceless.In short, Steve was worth every penny we spent and more, as we now have hundreds of perfect, beautiful memories of our wonderful day that we can share with our friends and family.Thank you Steve, from the bottom of our hearts,Miff and Dean More...

From the slightly tipsy initial phonecall, to the downright messy end of the wedding night, Steve was a star the whole way through. Managing to cope with torrential weather, dogs, and a whole lot of wedding guests with a lot of cider in them, he took everything in his stride.The photos don't even vaguely suggest the horrendous weather we had, they just glow and look amazing. Our specific request for lots of in focus reception shots as well was managed amazingly, something a lot of other photographers we looked at didn't have, honestly we love so many of them! Everyone at the wedding has marveled at the photos I've shared with them, as they've just said...I didn't even realise he was there taking that picture! A real star and a lovely guy to work with! We decided to use Art by Design Wedding Photography because we were looking for creative, fun and unique photos of our wedding day at Nash Point lighthouse. The website grabbed my attention. Steve was brilliant and made us feel at ease. He was very involved and wanted to get the right photo. I could tell he cared and we loved the results. Steve was our wedding photographer, the photos he takes are amazing and sometimes even a little surprising? half the time you haven't even noticed he's there. He's adventurous and will give anything a go, even to climbing on to window sills and up trees. Up for anything and was a great comfort, taking your ideas in his stride and perfecting them. Great personality and felt like we had known him for years. There's so many great photos that it will be hard choosing between them. My husband and I had Art by Design carry out our wedding photography earlier this year. From the first meeting with Steve we instantly felt at ease and looking through his work certainly impressed us. Steve was always quick to respond to any queries we had about the organisation of the day and talked us through what to expect. He also asked us what was important to us for him to try and capture on the day. Not only did he capture everything we asked for, he captured so much more than we could have imagined. Looking through the photographs now tell us a story of our wedding day and we get to relive it a little bit every time we view the images.

Steve has a real talent for capturing raw emotion and natural beauty. We are in love with our photographs and shall be forever grateful for his work. Not only is he a fantastic photographer, he is also so friendly, polite and so pleasant to be around throughout the day.

I would highly recommend choosing Art by Design. We were so pleased with our wedding photos! Steve is very friendly and we felt very relaxed when he was taking our photos which I think was so important for us on our wedding day. He is very flexible and listened to our preferences, not only for what photos we wanted but also for when we wanted photos taken, in the church for example and at the reception. We were really happy with the final result. The online access is also really great. Art by design photographed our wedding at Pencoed House in Feb. Steve also photographed us for an engagement shoot at Cardiff's winter wonderland. He was incredibly accommodating, understanding and worked tirelessly to get those 'perfect and memorable' photos. I could have not asked for more from Steve. He captured every part of the day and when the photos came through, everyone was shocked at how he had appeared to be everywhere at the same time; capturing every special moment. He is great value for money for the service you receive and the package you get from him. The pictures and his products are to an exceptionally high standard and he can't do enough for you to meet your needs/requests. Steve was fantastic. He had lots of great ideas to give us some fun photos, and was willing to try any ideas we had. Was very vocal and organised when doing the group shots, and blended well in the background to take natural photos of the guests. He also was very fast in editing the photos and getting them back to us. And having the photos on-line made it very easy for our family, who are spread all over to see photos of the day. Steve photographed our wedding on October 19th 2013, I cannot recommend him enough!From the first meeting we knew he was the type of photographer we wanted, not only from his amazing gallery of photos - so arty and original whilst still being traditional enough to capture the wedding the way we had imagined- but also because he was such a lovely guy! On the day, he was ever present capturing everything whilst not being at all intrusive. I would recommend Steve to anyone for their wedding. He was a friendly guy who knew exactly how to get the best pictures from our day. He incorporated the location's best features into our photographs, making for some great pictures that we will cherish forever. Steve was also willing to try out our suggestions and as a keen photographer myself I liked that we could talk tech and share ideas.

Steve knew exactly when to get involved to capture the moment but also how to hang around in the background catching natural shots of me and my wife and also our guests - those photos are my favourites. He got some stunning pictures of my wife in her dress - she doesn't normally like having her picture taken but she said he made her feel comfortable.
