If my late friend film director and restaurant critic Michael winner was still with us and had the great pleasure of eating at Aron's he would have declared I am sure the meal his top rating as 'Historic'

I went to Aron's a lovely Jewish Delicatessen today (12 Aug), and had a really nice lunch. I had Reuben sandwich salt beef with melted chease, russian dressing and sauerkraut on toasted rye, with a side of potato salad pickled cabbage and pickles, and washed down with Day's Cottage Apple juice, and 2 slices of Flodni cake one for me and one for my mum who loved it. Aron's is a great place to eat and will highly recommend them to my friends and family. More...

Fantastic meal at Aron's Jewish Delicatessen last night, loved the 'Reuben' sandwich with house salt beef griddled on rye with melted cheese. It went down a treat with a Bristol Beer Factory ale. Will definitely be a regular here! More...

Great trip to the recently opened Aron's. I had the leo from the brunch menu and my partner had the salami sandwich. Both were incredible with very generous helpings at very reasonable prices and amazing flavours. A welcome addition to Chandos road, will definitely be back to sample more of the menu. More...

Anne and I had lunch today at Aron's Jewish Deli in Chandos Road. It's a very friendly place and the food was great! Anne had the chicken schnitzel sandwich which had some lovely pickled asparagus and turnip with it. I had the salt beef hash with 2 fried eggs - it's not easy to make hash look pretty, but they managed it - and it is great comfort food. The place doesn't open in the evening, which is a shame, but very well worth dropping in for lunch. More...

What’s your signature dish?
We have no single signature dish or if we do it changes with alarming regularity.
The dish that we currently enjoy making, eating and serving the most is our "Village Farm" mutton pastrami. Village Farm is at East Portlemouth near to Salcombe on the South Devon coast, They have recreated a maritime breed of sheep that once roamed the coast of Devon and Cornwall and which enjoyed a reputation for its delicacy of flavour.
We brine whole legs of their mutton for about a month with lots of spices and aromatics. The mutton is then hot smoked before we roll it in a mixture of cracked coriander seeds and black pepper corns. Hand sliced and piled high on rye bread with plenty of home made mustard.
We think it neatly sums up our approach to cooking - you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear (but you can fry them until very crisp and serve with tartare sauce)
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
First of all we listen to what our client has to say and then we like to ask questions.
Then using our experience we put together a proposal but before sending it we ensure that it contains at least one uniquely creative element.
