A Building Regulations Approval from your Local Authority or an Approved Inspector is almost certainly required for your extension. There are two ways to do this:

1) A Building Notice
The purpose of this form is to inform the local council that you are going to build. Inspection fees can be quoted, and inspectors can expect to conduct site visits shortly.
