The practice has a speciality in contemporary timber construction. Prior to setting up AOMD, Michael worked for ten years at Mæ architects. His last completed building Sands End Arts and Community Centre was a finalist for the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2022 and John Morden Centre which he oversaw won the RIBA Stirling Prize 2023.
